Clean quiet comfortable boutique hotel Lovely quiet small boutique hotel not for from the beach and close to the center. Clean, pleasant, quiet and comfortable - a welcome respite from the busyness around. Very reasonable price for the quality of room - a real sense of taste and style - staff friendly and helpful

Dirty and Restrictive I would not recommend this hotel. First and most importantly to me, it’s dirty. Baseboards have built up dust, my floors were dirty and obviously not mopped, shower had mold in the corner. There was a smell of mold in the room and wall AC was also covered in dust. Bathroom was extremely small and not designed for a Traveller. Bed was super creaky. Outdoor patio furniture also dirty and dated. Some staff were wonderful people. Others not so much. They watch every move you make and do not allow you to enjoy any of your own beverages anywhere in the hotel (but also don’t provide hot tub/ outdoor area service). Never again. Much nicer properties in area. Don’t settle for gross and mean.

A quiet oasis near everything! My wife and I stayed here over the weekend and we had an amazing time. The hotel is small, charming, and quaint - in a very positive way. But it's also situated near so much - a most convenient location. 17th street beach is a couple blocks away as are many restaurants, bars, and shops. The hotel has a unique vibe: historic, classy, European, and all in a very understated way. Rooms and common areas are extremely clean and well maintained. The backyard plunge pool and seating area is peaceful and relaxing. We had breakfast at the cafe twice even though lots of restaurants are close. The food is that good - simple and understated but done exceptionally well. The coffee drinks are outstanding too. When we returned from our evening out on Friday, we were greeted with a "welcome home" which was very appropriate. Cadet Hotel truly felt like home. We would definitely come back if we're in the area again.

Perfect Location, Hospitable Staff, Peaceful and Quiet Oasis in the middle of Miami Beach I absolutely loved my stay at Cadet Hotel. Staff were really friendly and would greet us every evening and morning. Lobby space is small and the hotel relatively has not as many rooms as the larger hotels which I find a plus. Staff seems to really care about its guests. Hallways are well lit, rooms are average size but usable and super clean. Hotel surroundings feel very safe compared to the other areas in South Beach such as Collins Road. The outside of hotel is located on a side street away from the hustle bustle but close enough to everything still. Honestly perfect location. The area is well lit and Cadet Hotel is right on the corner across from a few other small boutique hotels providing a really nice ambiance. When staying there, it was nice and quiet at night which was a plus but still close enough to walk to restaurants and clubs if you would like. The best thing was that the hotel offered assigned parking right next to the hotel in the next door apartment ($25 a day). This made it super easy to have a car and park without having to find parking every night or fight for parking in the Municipal Parking lots. Overall, an extremely positive experience at this hotel and would definitely stay here again when I visit Miami.

Using too much WiFi Walked in to Hotel Cadet - Salon de Cafe to enjoy some quiet time while doing some work and having breakfast. The server/front desk were very nice - Charlie. I have enjoyed breakfast and few teas and was considering to stay there next time. After a couple hours, Bilba - owner of hotel & restaurant, walked up to me during a Conference Call and "demanded for my attention". I politely replied I'm in the middle of a call, and asked to chat with her later, but she demanded my attention, interrupted my call and told me I can't seat with my computer and work (& eat/drink of course) over an hour/two there. And the place was empty most of the day. After I finished my call, gathered my belongings, paid the check, I went to talk to Bilba. She informed me, she is Dr. Biaggi for me. I informed her that I not just sat there, but I had food and drinks, however she informed me that I should have paid for seating at her "empty for a reason" coffee shop. I said - no problem, why wouldn't they put a price on it, a sign with price/day or hour or just tell me at any time outside of the call and I would have paid - no problem! She told me I should have come to Front Desk and told them I want to pay for a few hours I stayed working/eating from their coffee shop for using the space. And notified me that I used to much of her AT&T wifi. That's the first thing I asked when I arrived, if they have WiFi, it's OK for me to work & have food/drinks & the front desk lady said it was OK. Either way I don't recommend staying/visiting this hotel & coffee shop, as it has no heart, and Bilba is impolite and arrogant Hotel/Restaurant manager! You don't treat that way your colleagues in hospitality Bilba. You'd better welcome paying hospitality colleagues/patrons with a warm welcome and open heart!
