Hotel Shelley

Amazing stay. For the price & location of this Hotel, this is an amazing bargain for those that want to be right on the water or close to. Ana, who is an employee at Shelly was the best, a true sweetheart. She helped out with any issue I had or any question I had. She was super helpful and my the overall experience that much more memorable.

RAT VILLAGE! Never stay here this is RAT VILLAGE! I stay here 7/16 for 1 night and rats was crawling through the walls all night trying to get out i have vides i show the front desk agent and all she could do was say im so sorry no refund no nothing please do not stay here i was soooo scared! I have many videos

My experience was horrible. Please do not need assistance from Customer Service or Corporate. You may as well forget it. I had a stay with Hotel Shelley booked for April 26, 2024 until April 29th, 2024. I was giving room number 217 for my stay. The first night was okay, but the second night I began to see bugs. I went to the front desk and the clerk Jefferson was very helpful as I informed him that there were bugs in my room, belongings, and in my bed. He took his time to get all of the bugs out of my bags for my birthday guest. Being that they were in the bags. I was unable to give my guest their thank you gifts at my birthday dinner. The next day the bugs took over. They were all in my bed, luggage, the lamp shade, and all throughout the room. I went back to the front desk and Jefferson informed me that he did not have any rooms available. Later that night I went back to the room and there were more. There was no way possible that I was going to spend my money and sleep there. I went back to the front desk by this time shifts had changed and a young lady was able to assist me, by this time it's was 2am in the morning. I informed her that I would have to find another hotel to stay or sleep in my car. I have spoken with hotels.com which I booked through and after almost a month of reaching out to the hotel management. The manager states that they have a non refundable cancellation policy. Which I haven't cancelled anything, so I am unsure of what he is referring to. In my option they have forfeited for not providing me with a comfortable dwelling space. I have emailed them pictures and videos and these are still the results. At this point my only other option is to write my honest review.

Wasn’t bad, wasn’t great Pros: great location (2 min walk from beach) and great price. Staff at chesterfield (where you have to check in) were nice. Cons: no security (no front desk or elevators so anyone could walk up to the rooms). No bathroom fan or screen on window so was damp in our room for the whole trip. Rooms outdated and bathrooms falling apart. They do not clean your rooms or replace towels everyday (I think it’s after 4 days).

Cozy & Convenient For the price & location. You couldn't beat. Room & bathroom is updated & clean & air conditioner was great. Staff was super friendly & professional & personable. Even before my arrival... they answered all my questions over email immediately. The lobby is AWESOME & music was great. The only thing is their complimentary happy hour at hotel Catalina is a 20min walk from Shelly. But.. you also have access to their pool. Shelly is on Collins... literally 2 blocks over from the water. I was there for a quick trip & will do it again. This hotel is in the heart of town.
