Summer vacation and relax My family booked this location/unit via Hotwire.con hot rate and got New Point Miami Beach. Upon purchasing, we noticed many poor reviews and our expectations for a great vacation was lowered. We considered changing the hotel and forgoing the price paid. However, with some research and caution, we decided to give it a try. This is my personal take: Location was perfect for our family. We got a studio unit with towels, beach umbrella, some kitchen appliances; a queen size bed and a trundle bed (2 twin beds); unit also included a dining table. With reservation, the building includes parking, gym access, pool and beach. Valet parking staff is very professional and so are the staff at the New Point Office. My understanding of the building. A few companies run units as “hotel.” Basically the units are owned by a person or company then this company or person rents it out to guests. The companies do not manage the building facilities and there is no daily cleaning of the unit. The building is huge so there is a lot of people in the lobby at all times. The hallway rugs are cleaned with machines, however there is a humid smell permeating from them. This is not evident in the room/unit. Lastly, the rooms/units are not all the same as they are not owned by the same people. These are basically condos and you decorate/maintain as you “owner” wish. Some updating of the units could be done. My family and I had a great time and didn’t feel uncomfortable or unsafe here. Yet if you choose to rent here, be open minded and know you are sort of renting like an Airbnb not a hotel room.

No Customer Service to Reverse Charges I had a reservation that did not require payment until 3 days before my arrival in September. They charged my card $1236.35 in May 20th in error. I called and emailed and still no reply. Now I’m thinking it was no error after all. CROOKS!!!!!

Decent. I was a bit nervous about booking since there are very conflicting reviews. My 2 sons (12 and 15) and I stayed here over spring break. Overall it's decent. Not fantastic, not horrible. So basically what I expected. We booked a studio bay view. A bit on the "worn" side in the room, but definitely livable. Some reviews complained about front desk/housekeeping. It clearly states in the description that housekeeping costs extra. We didn't get it. Also, there are 9-5 hours at the front desk. It's an apartment. We had a maintenance issue after hours, and were able to get someone in at 10PM, so no problem there. Check in was no problem. Pros -included fridge/freezer, microwave, sink for kitchenette -plenty of room in the studio for the three of us -LOCATION!! Obviously we were there for a family vacation, I can't speak to the poolside bar or other nightlife. But it is just steps away from the beach and a nice boardwalk. There is a large shady playground within walking distance (just a few minutes down the boardwalk) -Pool. Large pool, only had trouble getting a chair once. -Beach--clean, warm water, watch out for rip current! -Convenience store on the lower level (not lobby level) has a decent selection. Obviously a bit pricey but has the basics--cereal, milk, butter, eggs, deli and premade empanadas and sandwiches. (We brought an extra suitcase with food so didn't need to buy too much) Cons -kitchenette has plates/bowls, silverware, glasses, and that's about it! -Pool bathrooms. The women's is pretty repulsive. Definitely wear your shoes!

this was a horrible experience, LEAVE!!!!! i was visiting miami beach for the weekend, the room was FALLING APART, the shower cap was about to fall out, the whole room was SUPER dirty, and the workers do not help you AT ALL, it also says “no smoking" but there was high people EVERYWHERE, the whole hotel was just falling apart the door was also really hard to open, overall, horrible stay workers don't help out at all and if you ask for help they will answer in the worst way possible, they also scratched my car in the valet parking, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Worst night in my life If you like paying 23 dollars for one drink very thin walls and inconsiderate spring breakers with NO customer service ( the phone was always busy) then this is the place for you. Horrible experience. No chairs for pool , no carts to lug our luggage and there was a smell in the hotel. It was run down poorly maintained no ice machines . Low toilets the restaurant was nothing more than a tourist trap over priced food.
