San Juan Hotel

Excellent location The location is excellent… near the beach, shops, restaurants and in a walkable distance to Ocean Drive. We liked the beach service which included umbrella and 2 lounge chairs. Our room (king with pool view) came with a coffee machine. Water bottles were always provided in the room and whenever we asked for beach towels. Staff are friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable. The toilet is small but functional. The hotel is a bit outdated but not of a big deal. As mentioned in other reviews, sometimes you hear the others noise… for us, it wasn’t a problem. When we checked in, room was very clean but the housekeeping in the following days was hit or miss! They really need to improve.

You definitely get what you pay for! This hotel is mediocre at its best, when I arrived to check-in the elevator was malfunctioning and people were stuck inside, okay I get things happen, but they said nothing to me, like sorry this is happening etc, just acted as if it was normal (not the best first impression), the lobby had a very strong air freshener smell that gave me an instant headache, it didn’t smell great, seemed like it was so strong to cover a musty odor, the room had a smell too, it was stale and also gave me a headache, they really should get rid of all the carpet, it’s so stinky and yuck, the sheets had stains so make sure to check yours, and my bathroom smelled like sewage one morning that I stayed in my room later, might have been everyday but I was usually up and out, I was supposed to receive sparkling wine as I am an Expedia gold member, never received any, as well as a free room upgrade if available which it was, never was I offered, the pool is decent, small but does the job, location is ideal, have access to a lot, walk to the beach where our stands are available is about 10 mins, not too bad but not fun in scorching heat, for the price I guess it was expected to not be great, wouldn’t stay here again!

Very nice stay ! A lovely small hotel in the heart of South Beach. The room was very nice and bedding quite comfortable. The staff ( especially Claudio ) we’re very nice and professional. The hotel is in a highly desirable location. We highly recommend The San Juan Hotel! Vicki and David Greve Pgh

Good place at SOBE The hotel has a nice pool and breakfast area. The area is very pretty and was such a nice place to spend some time. The pool had some leguans visiting, that was so cool. Great location and nice staff. The room was great but the view from the room very poor!

Wonderful boutique hotel with a great location and amazing staff! This is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Rooms were very clean. One block from the beach. They provide beach club services with chairs and umbrellas and the pool area is very nice. The staff at this hotel is so friendly, helpful and really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! I hope to stay here again on my next trip to Miami Beach.
