Crime scene I’ve traveled my entire life and this is hands down the nastiest place I’ve ever stayed. I thought we could get past the stains on the floor, ring stains on things, missing towel bar, lamps that don’t work because they were missing a prong, air not working…. Until our last night when we went to pull out the couch sleeper. It was so stained with blood and mold. Not one small spot, almost the entire mattress. You know this was seen and then just folded back in. Contacting health department and Sonesta corporate.

RACIST RACIST RACIST DO NOT BRING YOU BLACK FAMILIES HERE The experience was highly distressing. A woman's actions significantly disrupted our family trip originating from Philadelphia, PA. Law enforcement was involved due to her behavior, and the responding officer quickly identified the individual in question. It was evident that even the manager was hesitant to confront her. The incident arose when she became agitated that I selected "yes" on the keypad instead of indicating my husband's name (whom she claimed the room was under). This ordeal has been exceptionally challenging. I intend to request a copy of the video footage through legal channels as there were concerning undertones of racism present. The actual video of the encounter is on the facebook page( sonesta clevland airport) in the comments

Not clean Do not stay here. Chose as it was a Sonesta brand-however this property was so dirty I do not know how Sonesta allows their name to be associated with property. Carpet and furniture stained. Arrived after midnight or we would have left. Not comfortable staying here.

Stay Away! We are very disappointed that we didn’t read any reviews, and that we liked the photos of this place on its Website. We chose this location in part because the pictures of its very nice pool, and were looking forward to spending some time there with our grandson. After seeing the condition of the room we were afraid to touch the pool water and avoided the area altogether just in case. (Spoiler alert: the photos are of another property altogether: there is no restaurant, no food, no tennis court.) We arrived too early to check in, and were told we had to wait for the room to be cleaned. We returned a few hours later, checked in, and I don’t want to believe we were lied to, but the housekeeping cleaning routine is extremely sub-standard. It’s not that the room was not serviced at all; it’s that a person did visit the room and spent a few minutes doing only the very basics. The bathtub and sink appeared to be rinsed out, and the beds were made fresh, but that was the extent of it. The floors were disgusting, have not been cleaned in years, carpets stained and smelly, the tile floors were full of dirt, the outer surface of the tub had pubic hairs and dirt. The bathroom door was warped and did not close for privacy. There was a couch and armchair whose upholstery were so filthy we avoided touching them. There were 2 used towels draped over a rod in one of closets. There was an empty Gatorade bottle in the bathroom trash can. There were 3 dirty glasses in the dishwasher, which had not been run. Other than the 2 used towels, there were 2 clean (one must assume) bath towels which were small and threadbare, one small bar of soap, no bath mat. A dirty ironing board but no iron. The unusable kitchen had no cutlery in the cutlery drawer, no dishes, no cookware. There was not dish soap to clean the dirty glasses. We had to go out and buy disposable plates and cutlery for our 2-day stay. And there was no coffee maker. I tried to telephone the front desk to request a coffee maker and found the telephone was dead. I used my cell to phone the front desk and was told she would try to find one for us. Never heard a thing after that. And yes, weird people wandering about and doing weird things around the complex. It does appear to serve as a long-term public housing project. We considered leaving but we did not have time to hunt for another hotel last-minute, and chose to stick it out for our short stay, as we had commitments with family. This was the worst hotel we have ever experienced, and we’ve been to hundreds. The single star is for the only positive: the air conditioning worked very well during a hot July visit. We hope this review does not get a reply from the management that they “are sorry you had a less-than-pleasant experience” and that they “are working for positive change” because there are reviews like ours that go back many months without any action. This was not a one-off experience due to bad timing during a busy season, or being short-staffed. This is obviously the norm for this dump. This hotel is a dirty place.

Welcome to the hood Seems like this is in part a public housing project. Strange people doing strange things all over. Fixing cars in the parking lot, letting off fireworks in the parking lot. I saw someone taking a dump in the lot. Low service no service. Not really very clean. No more Sonesta for me ever. I think we were lucky nothing really bad happened.
