Rude restaurant evening staff The hotel itself was okay. Why the one stars was we wanted to eat and drink in the evenings there, but the server lady was really mean to us. She ignored us the whole time we were there. The bartender also did not care to serve us. The next night lots of people were there, but the bartender said they were closed? Was it something I did? We went elsewhere the other two night. Stayed here for years dating back to Crown. We will never ever stay here again thank the seriously rude bar and restaurant staff. They bothe should be fired IMO.

Prepare to pay to park Hotel charges about 20 bucks a night for parking. This is not an airport hotel and there are no other reasons to charge parking except that they can. Big parking lot with plenty of parking, how else do you expect folks to get to the hotel... Via car!

Great Convention Experience at the Sonesta My organization did a convention for just under 200 at the Sonesta in late April. It went very well. The staff and team was great. The rooms were clean and we had no complaints from the attendees about their rooms. While the F&B charges are higher today, the food was excellent. Brittany managed the event for us and she made sure our needs were accommodated, the staff was very attentive to the event. I would recommend for a social/hobby event like ours or a corporate event. As an organizer, the experience was excellent.

Excellent Service at Sonesta San Jose Our company had a wonderful event at Sonesta this past week. Both Karina and Carlos provided superb and professional service to make our event a success. Everyone enjoyed the catering and ambiance of the hotel. Additionally, we were holding a private event and had a few speeches in which the hotel was happy to mitigate noise near our event. Thank you Sonesta!

Swimming pool? Chose the hotel because of its 4 stars and the pool. Happy with the room (by the way there is not even one bottle of water) but much surprised with the pool - the water is so much chlorinated that my eyes were red and painful for nearly 2 days (I never use glasses for swimming in hotel pools so I am not definitely the "sensitive" person). There is definitely one advantage when you stay there - not the hotel itself but a number of different restaurants just across the street, 5 mins walk.
