Residence Inn Milwaukee Downtown by Marriott

A great stay I stayed a week and this is a great hotel. I enjoyed the location and want to thank Cherita and Mikela for a great stay. Cherita understands great customer service and is an asset to the hotel. Great location and nice big rooms. Will definitely return.

Great location. Friendly staff It was a great location. Close to walking to restaurants. Its listed as a airport hotel which it really isn't but otherwise staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit downtown Milwaukee

Wonderful Visit We are currently at this hotel, and we love it. The staff has been friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful and we love the space and high ceiling, and the views are wonderful. We definitely will be back the near future!

I Love This Hotel I first stayed here in August of 2020 (needed some quiet to finish a magazine article) and loved it so much I have returned three more times for multiple-night stays. By chance my room was on a high floor with unobstructed views to the west over the city and that first evening the sunset was amazing. Imagine a room with 15-foot-high-ceilings and a west wall of glass that's half filled with sky. When I'm looking for inspiration I just stand at the windows and gaze out. Ever since that first stay I have requested a similar room. The white stone building is historic (it used to be the Gimbel's department store that my mom brought me to when I was a kid), hence the highest ceilings I have encountered in a hotel room. The decor has some cool reminders of the Gimbel's days. I love the stylish layout of the rooms, the furniture's great, and the sleek desk is huge--a real help to a writer with a bunch of pages needing to be spread out. It's like this place was designed to help a writer on deadline. Super quiet. Beds are outstanding. Bring your own favorite coffee (and filters) and brew up a morning pot in the bright space. Staff is friendly and helpful. And you can't beat the downtown location. It's eastern side overlooks the Milwaukee River with its fantastic Riverwalk. Take that north or south to restaurants and bars. You're on the city's heartbeat street, Wisconsin Avenue, and close to Fiserv Forum and the renovated new home for the symphony. And soon The Avenue, with its ground-floor food hall full of local vendors, will be opening up, a minute's walk away, with the east end of the whole complex right across the street.

Dirty in time of COVID In the time of COVID everyone is talking about increased cleaning....well thats not true here. When we first got into our room we noticed all the dust on top of the fridge and by the windows so obviously not wiped down. The plastic utensils by the coffee were opened and the utensils broken in half so the spoon parts were gone but the handles still there....so obviously from the previous guest had touch and they left there and house keeping did nothing. They didn't gove us coffee or tea or dishwasher soap. Their vending machines weren't working and the drinks by the front desk you had nothing to choose from as they were pretty bare. The only saving grace was the daytime front desk worker was super sweet and nice. Otherwise extremely disappointed in this hotel and I do plan do make it known to people how unsanitary they are at this facility. Oh and don't let me forget about the microwave once upon opening all I say was brown splatter all over like someone ate taco bell and confused the toilet and they microwave. So obviously they didn't clean this either. Really wondering what did they clean??? Fridge is only 5ft tall so you see all the dust on top. I also wish that there was a disclaimer that they didn't have their breakfast as the pictures online made it look so good and it's a reason we picked this place. Then to be handed a jimmy deans frozen sandwich yuck.
