Nice Hotel The staff was great. We dealt with two different “behind the desk” workers and they took great care of us. The room was clean and had a smart tv for my daughter to watch her favorites. Very safe environment. The breakfast service was probably a 3/5. I always got there an hour before “closing” and wasn’t overly impressed with the food. Overall no real complaints.

Find Another Hotel.... Very disappointing and annoying. Began with my check-in: the gentleman at registration desk thought it would be funny to tell me he couldn't find my registration and I may be at the wrong hotel...I was not amused at that "joke." He then asked if I'd like to upgrade my room for only $25 per night - since I'm a Hilton Honors member - said it was a King bed and "walk-in shower." After a long day of travel I decided to indulge in the "upgrade." Turns out the "Upgrade" was a handicap access room with a wheelchair accessible shower, adjacent to the elevator with the typical associated noise. He also said my HHonors Status entitled me to 2 free bottles of water - which I never received. The Hilton Brand has continued its downward trend.

A very pleasant surprise Having travelled from another US city where our hotel (part of a different large chain) was a bit of a disappointment, the Hilton Minneapolis was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel is big and busy, and obviously hosts events and conventions, however the level of service is excellent and we felt very much at home during our 3-night stay. Our room was great; very clean and well-presented. Each member of staff we dealt with was friendly and efficient, and whenever we asked a question it was answered straight away. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which was very good. The buffet has a wide range of hot and cold foods, and the a la carte menu is also good. There is a Starbucks on-site if you want breakfast, a sandwich or a snack to-go. There are plenty of places dotted around the hotel to sit and chat / chill out. We enjoyed finishing off our evening with a drink from the bar.

Good, but could still improve a bit! Much better stay than previous time here. The hotel was fairly quiet. As expected, still no executive lounge and I don’t expect this to return as it hasn’t for the vast majority of NA properties. Was offered NOR1 upgrade options. I usually don’t do these but ask at the hotel so the property gets all the additional revenue. Multiple upgrade (paid) options at check in. Did get upgraded prior to check in by one category. In the “old days”, especially when hotels had tons of availability I would get upgrades that were several categories but this doesn’t seem to happen anymore. Was only there one night so paid the exorbitant overnight valet parking (not out of line with other properties). There are self parking options available in the area that would be less. Asked about a paid upgrade at check-in to a specific room type that showed as a paid upgrade also in the app. Front desk quoted me higher than if I checked in on the app! When I pointed this out, they agreed to match the upgrade cost shown on the app. Not much to say on a one night stay. The upgraded room came with a $30 F&B credit. I confirmed this is in addition to the Diamond F&B credit. Room was spacious, clean, clearly hadn’t been occupied for some time but that’s fine - had one small window that opens for a bit of fresh air. Had wine at the bar in the evening, did not have breakfast there. On checkout, noticed only the F&B credit for the room and not the Diamond one. Used the chat app to ask if they could correct. So they added the Diamond benefit but removed the room F&B credit. I pointed this out in the chat app - never responded and never corrected. It’s only $30 but annoying. May stay there again depending on rates and availability but there are tons of good options nearby also! Marriott properties have kept some of the better benefits for their top tier members. However, across the various hotel brands, there are so many more top tier members than ever thanks to all the credit card partnerships. Lobby is still gorgeous and location convenient.

Fine but nothing special It was fine-- just nothing special. The rooms are kind of dark, carpeted (which I kind of hate, now that there are so many hotels with nicer flooring options). The mobile key did not reliably work in the elevator. Otherwise, it was clean, had decent service . Beds were not the most comfortable.
