Good location The Waterside Inn was a good option for us instead of staying in downtown Toronto. It’s a close walk to the GO Train, and there are restaurants within close walking distance. The on-site restaurant Breakwater wasn’t open when we were there. There wasn’t much in the way of signage for the Waterside Inn, so we missed it when we arrived and had to ask! There were a number of steps to get in to the building; there was a ramp, but it was quite a ways to walk. Only mentioning it in case guests have a lot of luggage or if you have difficulty walking. We had a residence suite with two bedrooms and one bathroom. One of the bedrooms had a double bed; this room was quite small and had no luggage racks. The bed was super close to the wall, which made it a bit tricky to get in and out of bed on that side. The clock alarm went off in that room at midnight (note to self: should check these things before going to bed!) The other room was much larger and had a walk-in closet. We weren’t using the kitchen for cooking any meals, but just a heads up that there was no toaster or microwave. There were a limited number of dishes and utensils. Also no tea towels, paper towels or a drying rack, but there was a dishwasher and a washing machine. Coffee packets were provided for the coffeemaker (3 decaf + 2 tea bags were in our unit); we just asked for regular coffee at the front desk. There were only two sets of towels provided for four people, so we requested 2 additional sets when we first got to our suite. Housekeeping came quickly but with only two towels (so no hand towels or face cloths). I was a bit disappointed with the view when we first arrived, but we could see the water. We watched the rowers and saw some boats coming in and out. The hold on our credit card for a two-night stay here was $500, which we thought was high. Parking was across the street ($10 fee).

Chincoteague favorite My favorite place to stay in Chincoteague. I've been staying here gor many years. Chincoteague is my getaway. Fwaterside is a family owned business. You can walk to town and restaurants. The staff is great. And there's an amazing view from your room.

Lovely Friendly Waterside Inn! Really good small friendly hotel in a lovely area called Port Credit. While we stayed there this time the restaurant in the hotel was closed so no breakfast, but lots of choices nearby. Waterside Inn is right there by the River Credit. Lots of eateries very close by including Snug Harbour serving fish and chips, steaks, very hearty fish soup and there is also a very good Indian very close called Indian Cuisine on the Lake, so good! The train station is about 6-8 mins walk away, where you can travel to many parts of Ontario including downtown Toronto! Stayed many times here for business and pleasure and cannot see us staying anywhere else!

Stay elsewhere! I stayed at The Waterside Inn for 2 nights for a conference. I have visited Port Credit many times before as I live in Mississauga and have dined at Snug Harbour. From the outside the hotel doesn't look so bad, but the inside is in desperate need of a full renovation from top to bottom. Upon entry, the foyer was hot and humid as if there was no AC, it was dark and had dated and worn furniture. I got to my room (#705) and was shocked by the odour I was greeted with - musty, funky and stale air. I immediately opened the balcony door and sprayed air freshener. The bathroom was disgusting, there was mold on the wall and a gap between the shower and the wall. I kept the light on the entire time as I was unsure if I would be creeped out seeing something come out of the wall during the night. The shower curtain was an irritant, touching me while I showered (gross). The rug in the sitting area was nasty - old, tired and dirty! The kitchen had a washing machine in it with a big "out of order" sign on it. I have stayed at many hotels for business and my room was always cleaned daily. For the 3 days I was at The Waterside Inn, my room was never cleaned. The pictures online are very misleading; they look nothing like what you see upon arrival. It was an uncomfortable stay, quite a few of my coworkers were disappointed with the accommodations. I would never stay here again and do not recommend this hotel at all. It would be a nice hotel when it is shut down, gutted, renovated from top to bottom.

Elegant Boutique Hotel We have been going to the Waterside Inn for brunch and also for special dinners (25th anniversary) for many years. Their elegant restaurant never disappoints. I love the eggs benedict, and my husband goes crazy for the freshly made hamburger.
