Marriott is using the pandemic to take advantage of loyal costumers Back in April, I booked a 2 bedroom by-level suite at the Residence inn, Mont Tremblant (Manoir Labelle) for July 30th to August 2nd. At that time, the cancellation policy was quite clear, I could cancel my trip anytime before July 28th. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to shorten our trip from 3 to 2 nights. I called way before the deadline to cancel one night. I was then explained that because I was canceling one night, the rate for the other two nights were going to be charged at the current rate and not at the rate I had booked the room back in April. The difference in price was astronomical (about $200 per night more!). I tried to discuss with the Director of Operations that this was not right, I had already reserved my room at a certain rate and canceling one night shouldn’t have such an impact on the cost of my stay. I was told to compare with the Fairmount, that it would be a lot worse (I had no intention to go to the Fairmount, so I have no clue why this was brought to the conversation). We had already made plans with 3 other families (2 of which are also staying at the Marriott…) so we went ahead and cancel the one night and paid a ridiculous amount of money for the two remaining night (close to $1200. I have been a loyal costumer of the Marriott brand for many years so I have escalated my concerns to the costumer service with no results. I was told that this was their new policy and I had no recourse. I’m extremely disappointed in how this was handled and I will think twice about booking with the Marriott Brand next time I travel. The pandemic has been hard on all of us and taking advantage of loyal customers while travel is reopening is a very strange strategy…

Tired property I am Marriott Titanium so may be a bit fussy, however there are many things wrong with this property. First of all it is way overpriced. Also, it desperately needs a facelift. The kitchen cabinets are scratched and worn, the dresser in the bedroom doesn't fit properly, and the toilets are extra low to fit under the bathroom counter which clearly was a design flaw. The decor is dated and drab. It's definitely at the lower end of Residence Inn quality. What I can't comment is how it compares to other local properties, so maybe it is decent value compared to those, but I would personally check out other options if you want something a bit upscale. .

High expectation - disappointing stay First Dominique at front desks is awesome ! She made a difference in out stay. Hotel room AC was not enough powerful Many guest are renting room but stay like 10 or 12 per room very noisy and no control from security, some guest were smoking, we had to re-install the dishwasher machine rubber seal ourself. We had to request a mat cleaning to removed bad odour of the carpet. We chose the Marriott for a great experience elsewhere but will opt for the Fairmont next time.

Perfectly Located Hotel with Friendly Front-Desk Staff I stayed one night with my wife for a ski getaway during the COVID pandemic. We booked this hotel on a deep mid-week (Tuesday) discount (Cdn$169 plus tax) via the Tremblant last-minute deals - the advertised rate at the hotel for a Studio Room was $210 plus taxes. We had no idea what hotel we would get, but we were happy with this hotel, which gets high marks for its ideal location (in middle of the 'village' two-minute walk from the free lift to the ski centre), its accommodating staff ( allowed us to check into the hotel very early at 8:30am and later check out at 12:30pm), and extras (free 7am breakfast, 'first-tacks' pass that allows you to get in lift lines at 7:45am vs 8:45am). Parking is an extra Cdn$15 per day, but you are allowed to leave your vehicle all-day, including after check out. I would have rated this as a 5-star except for the timing and slightly late-start of the breakfast at 7am. All hotel guests are offered 'free' first-track passes, but the breakfast - advertised for 7am did not open until 7:05am, plus it took 15 minutes to pick up the breakfast, eat it in the room (COVID restrictions) and head off to ski. The hotel should start the breakfast earlier at 6:30am to allow adequate time to grab the food, eat it, and prep to ski. For skiers you can (snow permitting) ski all of the way from the base of the mountain to the entryway to the hotel's underground parking (6'8" height limit for SUVs with storage), and you can access the hotel's elevator from the garage, where you can leave your skis and poles on a rack to dry off. It is possible to take a lunch break in the room on a ski day, which is invaluable during the pandemic as the ski lodges are not serving food. This Marriott may offer the best overall value in Mont Tremblant's village, and it is certainly among the best locations.

Excellent stay in COVID times. Weekend stay with the family. Online check in via the Marriott app was easy. Room ready at requested time (early check in). Room and entire hotel very clean. Front desk staff was helpful and provided everything we needed (including forgotten tooth brush). Breakfast options are a box filled with your choice (see photo). Hot breakfast sandwich or cold options available. The location is fully ski in. You can ski right up to the front door of the hotel. Ski locker rooms are available on the basement level. Hotel room key opens the room and you can use your own lock or get one from the front desk (deposit required). For “ski out” you need to carry your skis to the bottom of the cabriolet lift. Take the lift to the main base station area. Walk to cabriolet is about 1 minute. Underground secure parking is available for $15 per day. Was worth having a warm car on departure day. Highly recommend, will stay there again.
