FUN. RELAXING. My wife and I could not wait to take a vacation for some fun in the sun and relaxation. We usually go to the Grand in DR, but decided to try other locations especially after meeting guests who have stayed in Montego Bay. It has been 2 days since we got back from our 1 week stay at the Grand in Jamaica and boy do we miss it ha-ha. We had a really wonderful time at this location. The food is awesome, the staff is great, beverages are good (keep it simple when choosing), and everything is close! I hate when I attend an all inclusive and it feels like I am walking miles to the beach to then get food to then find my room and back again. Everything felt close and accessible with options. I also appreciated how engaging the staff was, very friendly and polite. As members we get some additional perks where we get to utilize a quite beach area and lounge. There is a lot going on near the pool areas which is on the beach and so I feel that If I was on the beach near that I do not think I would have enjoyed the peace and quite as much as I did in my more private section. The activities crew definitely keep you entertained with pool games and then an evening show (check them out for sure). I also felt that the pool bartenders get slammed with orders and honestly wish they had a little more support, especially when they’re in full uniform doing order after order. Even when I saw staff swamped they were super professional and kind. To me that can be a make or break for a vacation. As someone in a stressful profession, keeping composed is a pre-requisite and when I am on vacay I do expect that back. Although you may wait longer then the NY minute for something, your met with kindness and the requested product. One of the challenges we faced was the lack of cocktail menus, where we didn’t know a lot of drinks until we saw other guests order it (Purple Rain), which were delicious upon discovery. Also upon visiting the SPA, the sauna and steam room were very underwhelming. I was disappointed about that but happy to see a very very chilly cold pool. The gym is also an overlooked gem in my opinion. As a fitness focused person I could not resist the access to all the weights, machines in conjunction to having food, spa and a beach nearby. It was like a whole other take on my vacation because I could work on myself without any interruption. The staff here are great as well and knowledgeable. Even if you don’t workout a lot, I recommend checking it out and getting a little stretch and sweat in. However the gym is a walk to get to (Café in between) so I also recommend that you take a golf cart over. Now I would also like to add one of my favorite parts of this trip and that was a low-key (high-key this was stadium vibes) departmental soccer/futbol tournament. This is not part of the inclusive, this is specifically for the staff. BUT IT WAS AWESOME! It was great to see the other staff from all over the resort watch and support their friends play each other. One thing I feel is overlooked when you’re on vacation is that the individuals serving you have their own lives and when see that glimpse of who caters to you hanging with friends or creaming at a missed shot or foul you remember the best part of visiting somewhere new is the people! I am not sure how often they play but we missed the final by a few days and if you can stop by to check this out, try and do so. I have not had a vacation that I did not want to end for a long time and happy that this was one of those trips. I sat at lunch looking at beach 50ft away, awaiting for our departure time and thinking wow I really don’t want to leave this place, haha. If your looking for a fun trip with your partner definitely consider this as your vacation. I definitely did not get all the staff I engaged with but these were/are my favs. Looking forward to seeing them again and of course adding more to the list. We also checked out the non-adult only side of the resort and would also recommend this location for families. The Is a lazy river and the pirate ship, although in a different area is gated so way easier to monitor your littles. Cant wait to go back and hope this review gives you insights but most of all props to the staff who made the trip even better for us. A deep thank you from us both and wish you all well. Pro • Food (Taste/variety/freshness) • Service (professional/courteous) • Right on the beach • Club amenities • WhatsApp communication – have constant access to service support • Cleanliness • Room with balcony (ocean view) Cons • Lack of cocktail menus. • Better variety of snacks in the prestige lounge area • WhatsApp communication – need to have a phone with you • Not enough wait staff to support the waiters/waitresses (need 1-2 additional) • Spa – steam/sauna were not hot. Very small location in comparison to the Punta Cana Staff Wait staff o Peta Gaye o Karen (drinks**) o Deborah o Andrew o Chevoy Gym o LaLa o Baywatch Prestige o Roshane o Moesha o Kerry o Cedric o Toni-Ann o Shafae o Genele Spa o Maxine o Shannon Chefs o Terrence o Odane Activities/entertainment o Bubbles

Not what I expected My honest review. We had 22 family and friends on this vacation. I traveled from NY, and was met with dissapointmet. On our first day, we went to eat in the buffet and was told we were not dressed properly. I had on a dress that almost touched the floor, and the rest of my party was also fully dressed. The concierge lady was very rude, staring, and pointing at us making gnarly remarks. After watching others walk past us half naked in swimwear without question, we were then allowed in. I did report the incident to the front desk, but they didn't seem to care. We also experienced other encounters with the women employees ignoring us and being rude. The breakfast buffet food was not that great nor what I expected. The juice is watered down and food doesn't have much taste. We dif eat at the steakhouse, which took 3 hours for us to completely get served, and we had to pay for the steak and lobster $25, even though this is an all inclusive resort. The Japanese restaurant was excellent and highly recommended. My hotel room was nice and kept very clean, but to get water, i had to walk very far to the water fountain. They do not give bottled water. At night after 9, there is no place to get food from if your hungry except pre-made finger food at the bar ( not good) . Also, there is no room service. The Best part of my stay was the grounds and property are kept in immaculate condition, and very clean. However, because of the rude staff and food, I would not stay at this resort again.
