The Victorian Inn was great! We got two rooms for one night and loved our stay The Victorian Inn was great! We got two rooms for one night and loved our stay. Loved the friendly and helpful staff, wine and cheese hour, free breakfast, great location, near the aquarium, Cannery Row, restaurants, trails, bay, etc. excellent room with fireplace in balcony and double sinks in the bathroom. Great value for this expensive city. We will be back.

Great location, basic accommodation We spent one night here and the accommodation was fine. We requested rooms together and they were next door which was perfect. One room had a very stale smell. Toiletries were fine and the shower was powerful. We parked okay though were told we needed to move by 5pm on the day we left which was a bit frustrating. Breakfast offered lots of choice but the tables were so close together that navigating the room was a bit tricky.

Would not recommend- dirty and dated I booked here based on the many good reviews and am extremely disappointed. The building and rooms are very dated and not well maintained. The carpet in our room is very old and visibly dirty. The room looks nothing like the photo on the website- rather than a nice corner fireplace with comfortable chairs there is a very old and worn out dinette type built in with dining chairs. I never would have booked this room if it was truthfully pictured on the website. The room is also very noisy as it overlooks a busy street and there is no AC or fan so you have to leave the windows open. I would never recommend this hotel.

Cozy Inn in Monterey This is a lovely hotel to stay in. It is very comfortable, clean and spacious. I especially loved the fireplace in the room. They provide a great complimentary breakfast & afternoon tea. I would also like to give a shout out to the receptionist Alyssa & Christina who very accommodating, helpful & friendly. The location is great it is walking distance from Cannery Row & the aquarium. I will definitely be back.

Awesome Inn and Breakfast! My husband and I initially experienced some surprise to discover we'd been lodged in a newer, more hotel-like building rather than the old inn we expected, but we ended up loving our huge, quiet, more private room with its pretty, antique furniture and paintings. The high ceilings made it feel airy and old-fashioned and the place was extremely quiet. Terrific staff and the breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip! We were happy the Inn was a convenient walking distance to Cannery Row and the waterfront, and we LOVED the aquarium.
