Always our favorite place to stay in Monterey!! I’ve been staying here ever since the hotel at least 15 years ago. I’m amazed at how well the hotel has been maintained over the years. We stayed during Thanksgiving week and despite being sold out- the personalized service was on point. Vince is always so kind and helpful. Even though we don’t stay as often as we did prior to covid, he always takes the time to be friendly. What also stands out about this property is the seemingly low turn over in staff. Luis in the bar/ restaurant has been around over the years and it’s always nice to see a friendly and helpful face. We will visit again soon!! Thanks to The Clement!!

A must stay in the heart of Monterey. A must stay in the heart of Monterey. Located in Cannery Row, close to restaurants and shops, yet gives you the feeling of being miles away from everything. Modern rooms, expansive bay views, good food, and comfort. Great staff. Pricey, but highly recommend. 5 stars.

Best Vacation Ever Book the ocean front room. Saw schools of dolphins and sea otters. Listened to the ocean all night and have never slept so good! And the pillows and mattress warranted calling housekeeping so I could by them for home. Honestly will be coming back once a month if I can afford to.

Beautiful Hotel, perfect location and impeccable service! This hotel is perfect! Location, hotel bar, view, room. The service was impeccable from the front desk (Ryan), the bartender (gentleman), the valet parking guys (Victor and Charles were so friendly and accommodating and so kind and helpful). Can’t wait to come back for pleasure, as we were here for business. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Right on the ocean and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants.

great stay! Our family decided last minute to spend the night in Monterey which we just returned from today. I booked our double room last minute the morning of and got a great deal as a result. We've had a good number of disappointments staying at different hotels since the pandemic which we've tried to be compassionate about and avoid complaining about since the pandemic had impacted the hospitality industry pretty hard. However, we were impressed by how well this hotel maintained the overall cleanliness and quality of their rooms (at least the one we stayed in). As others have indicated already, the room came with robes, a nespresso machine with sufficient pods (you can ask for more), a bodom hot water kettle and sufficient toiletries in the bathroom. They offer hotel slippers too upon request which we appreciated. I really like their beds. It's a pillow top with a firm mattress. The hotel offers valet parking for $45/night which is steep. Most hotels in the area charge for parking but this is probably the highest I've seen. The Holiday Inn Express just down the block offers free parking the last time I checked (not sure if this is still the case). Some of the other reviews had mentioned about free overnight street parking just a few blocks away on Laine & Hoffman, and thankfully when we checked, it's still the case! So if you'd like to save $45/night and wouldn't mind a short walk, it's worth it. There's no regulations so you can park there past 9am unlike other streets nearby at least as of today when we last checked. Lastly, check out Pacific Grove if you haven't been there yet. It's a cute little town just five minutes away with cute shops and restaurants. We happen to stumble on it when we went there for dinner at Fandangos and pastries at Pavel's bakery the next day and will definitely be back!
