Extraordinary service at the Monterey Marriott Every once in a while you meet a person so pleasant and engaging that they become part of the story of your vacation. Emily at the Marriott front desk when we checked in was one of those people! She told us how great our room was, asked about our trip and suggested a terrific destination and then helped us celebrate. Thanks for being a highlight of our day Emily!

Good stay but room for improvement Stayed at this hotel in July for one night as a staycation. Check in staff was friendly. I requested a high floor room but unfortunately the highest room they could provide was the 4th floor. The room was clean and the view was great despite being on the 4th floor. I highly recommend the ocean view. A couple of things that I hope they can improve, first is that the bathroom has absolutely no hooks to hang your clothes. There's a bar in the shower but who wants to hang their clothes with the risk of getting wet?! Secondly, the vent above the bathtub was FILTHY and DISGUSTING. The restaurant in the hotel did not offer room service which was a huge disappointment and the reason was supposedly due to COVID. Many hotel guests did NOT have their masks on.

Great Location Instead of queen beds in the room they only had double beds which was inconvenient having two teenagers with us. We had a partial Oceanview that was absolutely beautiful. They have remodeled this old property very nicely. This property has Dining on site that has a decent menu.

Great hotel in a super location! We recently stayed 3 nights at the Monterey Marriott! Taylor checked us in and always greeted us as we passed the front desk. Super associate! Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing-especially the omelet station! Parking is free on the street after 6pm!

Wonderful Experience We hadn't stayed here in several years as we usually opt for a "Carmel Cute" (read: ready for remodeling) hotel. The location is perfect for doing everything in Monterey: the Aquarium, Fisherman's' Wharf, Old Monterey, kayaking, etc. The hotel has recently been remodeled, and we loved our room. We had requested an ADA room, and the shower/tub combo was perfect with a bench to sit on and both a hand held and conventional shower head. We had a partial bay view, and we could see almost the entire bay.
