Amazing stay thanks to friendly staff! Diana at the front desk was INCREDIBLE! We arrived late in the evening to the hotel, had a wrong reservation date (our mistake) and needed to park our car overnight. She accommodated us with no hesitation, in an ocean side view room that was beyond our expectations. Her kind and friendly demeanor was so refreshing and eased us into the most comfortable stay throughout our trip. The breakfast was delivered to our preferred order, the room was spotless, the view was spectacular (a little morning fog passed) and the rest of the hotel staff was just as helpful. Overall, we will highly recommend the Spindrift Inn to anyone seeking a place to stay in Monterey.

Romantic and stunning views Stayed here for 1 night driving from Palm Springs to San Francisco with my boyfriend. The view of our room was stunning, the room was spotless, the staff was super nice and helpful, great location- we had some yummy deserts at Giradelli that was just a short walk away. The bed was so comfy and very romantic. Loved all the pillows. The bathroom was huge too. We loved the room so much - we ordered food in and ate inside to watch the waves and boats from our window. The breakfast in the morning was perfect too - thank you Spindrift for the stay!

Highly recommend Love this boutique hotel. Very clean accommodations. Love the traditional decor, beautifully decorated and kept to the quaint feel of the hotel. Strategically located to walk and explore the area. The staff was amazing! It was my twins’ bday and they went out of the way to put sparkling cider on ice and write birthday cards for them when we checked in. Highly recommend. Beautiful view and was even better experience because of the attentive and wonderful staff.

The ocean views and window seats are MAGICAL! We absolutely loved, loved, LOVED this hotel! Our room was on the 3rd floor, OCEAN VIEW, w/ two queens. The view was beyond words! I’ve never stayed SO close to the ocean before! You’re almost ON the ocean. It’s amazing. The window seat was heaven (the windows actually open) and made the price well worth it! Tip: Bring binoculars so you can see the sea otters playing!! The breakfast is a super nice touch! Each night, they give you a menu of their continental breakfast options and you can choose what you want to eat and what time you want it delivered. Choices were: pastries, fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal and a variety of coffee, juice and teas. I loved having it delivered while getting ready in the morning, and sitting on the window seat drinking coffee in the AM is magical! Every afternoon they offer you a glass of wine (which you could take to your room… so, no need to socialize with strangers). The hotel has a small personal type feel. Both nights we walked down to the beach which is literal steps from your window. It felt like a private beach. You could sit on the dimly lit beach and watch/listen to the ocean without a care in the world. We loved it so much and did not want to leave. The only small complaint I have is the shower. I understand they’re trying to conserve water, but the shower head had no pressure and dribbled water. It made washing my hair very challenging. For the price, I was surprised they didn’t have a nicer handheld shower head. I would absolutely stay here again and again. Trust me, I am the type that will obsessively look at every possible hotel option until I find the best one! This one is comparably priced to all the other hotels in the area, but has the best view HANDS DOWN! It is truly a hidden gem! Go, you won’t regret it!

Dreams come true… More amazing than dreamed of - I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for 30’years. My excitement was that of a child at Christmas. The hotel did not disappoint, in fact it was so much more than I expected. First, the staff are amazing. Everyone we encountered was friendly, courteous, and professional. Our room was perfect - ocean front with large windows and a window seat; fireplace with two big at chairs; a beautiful king size bed…then there was breakfast delivered to our room each morning and a wine and cheese reception each evening…I probably could write an essay on how amazing this place was..won’t be waiting 30’years to go back!
