March Break Visit Great location, easy walking to many stores and restaurants. Room was a great size for myself and my teen. Bathroom was big. Small outdoor heated pool was fun in the cooler temperatures. Hotel was clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location, but so-so facilities and terrible customer service I'm no stranger to the St. Martin Particulier, as I stay there regularly (multiple times per year) for business travel, and it's a serviceable place to stay. However, my most recent trip in June was too terrible not to leave some sort of review. The customer service is quite lacking for a "four-star" hotel and needs some serious improvement. Positives: - the beds are comfortable (if you like softer beds) - quiet rooms with minimal sound leakage from the hallway and neighboring rooms - great location that is right on the metro line - reasonably fast elevators. There's only two elevators, but I've never had to wait long to get to my room - the cleaning staff consistently do a solid job of cleaning the rooms Negatives: - awful customer service - in-room temperature control doesn't work in any of the rooms that I've stayed at. The room temperature is quite cold in summer (nice)...and also in winter (not very nice) - the rooms are hit and miss. Some rooms have quite a bit more wear and tear than others (e.g. broken task chairs, sinks that won't drain, outlets that don't work, toilets that loudly leak, noticeable dings and dents on the furniture and walls, etc.) - basic accommodations. There are a couple amenities, such as the pool, but the pool seems to be regularly closed "for maintenance" - The continental breakfast that they started including as a mandatory charge in 2024 is very mediocre compared to all of the great places to eat within walking and metro distance To elaborate more on the customer service, it was passable when I started staying at the St. Martin three years ago, but it seems to be getting noticeably worse with time. As an examples on my latest week-long stay at the St. Martin in June, the front desk didn't honor my early check-in time even though I called in days in advance, I witnessed both front desk supervisors (day and night) loudly argue with at least four different guests, the front desk staff were generally unfriendly (e.g. not smiley or warm/inviting), and service seemed overly petty (e.g. they were charging another guest for one of the complimentary-looking bottles of water). The customer service was very off-putting and very underwhelming for a "four-star" hotel. Based on my experiences at the St. Martin as a business traveler, it definitely wouldn't be my first choice in downtown Montreal for personal travel. If they're not offering superior customer service to offset the aging facilities, there is zero reason to stay at the St. Martin instead of downtown Delta, Hyatt, or hotels for the same price/night.

Quiet hotel in Downtown Montreal The hotel is situated in Downton Montreal and in walking distance from metro (Peel) and busses. Shops, eateries and malls are also just a stone throw away. Despite being close to shops and entertainment, there was very little noise nuisance during our stay. Our room had everything and so much more (robe, slippers, water, Nespresso machine). The large bed was incredible comfortable and housekeeping was exceptional. Reception staff were ever so helpful and friendly. They did their best to look after us, including accommodating a later check-out and stored our luggage, so we had flexibility to spend the day out and about until our night flight back to London. The restaurant/bar is currently closed but there are many cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs catering for any preference/ taste in walking distance. We also appreciated the timely and professional communication before and during our stay. If we ever are lucky to return to Montreal, we'd love to stay here again.

Exceptional Hotel Staff We recently vacationed in Montreal, Canada, and stayed at Le St. Martin Hotel Particulier for 3 nights. We were very impressed with the Hotel’s staff who were accommodating and gracious in assisting us with our reservations. The room was well-appointed with lovely robes and slippers, tastefully decorated, and meticulously clean. Meghan C. and Medhi A. were exceptional in providing notable customer service. We also wish to acknowledge Gingo, the Valet, for his recommendations of tasty restaurants and “cute” coffee shops. The Hotel Particulier treated us like family; and we thank them for their gracious hospitality.

Best Deal in Best Location! This 4-Star hotel has friendly staff, well appointed and clean rooms, and a unique 4-season "soaker" pool, all in a great location that is walking distance to everything! It's too bad that the attached restaurant is still seeking new ownership/management, but there are plenty of other options in the very near vacinity.
