negative feedback we stayed at this hotel for one night, when booking and paying for the hotel room at the reception desk we tried to pay with several different cards and somehow the payment didn't go through, it's not our fault, the hotel payment system didn't work properly and we paid in cash, but then a few days later this hotel charged again from one of our cards, the same amount we paid in cash, we tried to dispute these funds through the bank, but the hotel refused to refund the money they additionally took from the card, we have all the receipts and confirmation of this, I find it dishonest and dishonest, will never visit this hotel chain again and will not recommend it to my friends and family

Sketchy At Best We were taking our 10 yo grandson to Morgantown for a WVU football game. Was Homecoming. Room prices on football weekends in Morgantown, WV are absurdly inflated. At Scholar Morgantown, was $1,400 for 2 nights. Staff did their best, but was clearly understaffed. On entering the lobby we encountered a musty odor. Fortunately our room was better. Fairly big, but furniture was banged up. Bed, linens, pillows, bathroom actually quite nice. I’m a Hilton fan. Totally surprised this is included in the Hilton “Tapestry Collection”. Would stay here only as a last resort.

Conveniently located downtown Hilton property Great room and comfortable bed. Friendly staff and fresh morning coffee. Conveniently located downtown close to restaurants shops and bars. As we are from the country we are not used to city noise at night was too loud for us so we will stay outside the city limits next time.

Rooms and property need work! Our room smelled very, very strongly of mildew (seems to be coming from the bathroom/shower surround). The A/C unit was very loud and made strange noises all night. The chair in the room has a strange stain and I don’t even want to look at it too closely. The room needs at least one more light, for example, a floor lamp! Room is very dark. The doors leading out to the garage off of the elevators does not open on the first try (in our case the first 20 tries). There is a mag lock on top and a green light comes on to indicate the door on the right can be pushed open but alas, doesn’t. Someone from the hotel had to come over and help us get out. Can you say FIRE HAZARD!?!?!

Affordable college town stay Super cute hotel in downtown Morgantown. Our window faced a house next door which felt appropriate for visiting a college town. The room was very large, as was the bathroom. The bed was very, very comfortable. Our only negative was that the room and restroom seemed dark. Nothing some updated lighting couldn't fix.
