Perfect for Families Our family had a wonderful time. We stayed here as a stopover to Oregon from the Bay Area. The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake in front of our place. We loved the cabin cozy feel of the resort. The restaurant at the resort was delicious. We enjoyed the view and serenity of the area. We will definitely come back!

Lovely Chalet Overlooking Lake Siskiyou Spent 3 nights on a girls weekend. We chose the place for its view, two rooms and proximity to activities. The lake view chalet was great--two bedrooms (one en suite, one with use of large guest bath), full kitchen (limited supplies), living and dining rooms, deck/balcony, and gas fireplace. Parking is not covered, but close enough to the chalet. Beds were comfortable and the place is quiet. Lovely views of Lake Siskiyou below. Note that water access is best nearby the resort; a steep embankment is below the chalets. Hiking trail right below chalets takes you all the way around the lake. The restaurant and golf course are not immediately on site, but a short drive or 10 minute walk away. The restaurant is nice and has great views and big windows. The only drawback is that the kitchen is minimally stocked with cooking gear, so bring what you need. We enjoyed Casa Ramos in town for Mexican Food.

Good base for exploring Shasta The hotel is not really a hotel - it is a set of individual chalets, actually cabins. We had a two bedroom lake view unit. The unit was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Often places like this smell musty or have noticeable small dings and chips. This one did not. Could it use a bit of a refresher with more modern furniture? Yes, but it was very comfortable and pleasant. We were looking for a base to use for exploring the Mt. Shasta area. The resort fit that bill perfectly. The Lake Siskiyou trail is right outside the front door, Lake Siskiyou and its kayaking and beach are a 4 min drive, downtown Mt Shasta is 8 min away, and multiple hikes are near by. My only suggestion is that the front desk staff might be a bit more knowledgeable about the area. But that is a minor quibble. We will be back.

Phenomenal resort We had a phenomenal 3-night stay at one of the lake view premium cabins. We were here first week of May so it was super quiet and enjoyable! Serene views, trail steps outside the door, deer-sighting, scenic views all around. Location, value, friendly staff. It was worth the 4 hour drive!

Winter visit was just 'OK" Based on the website, our expectations were definetely higher. The first ding was a hidden "Resort Fee" that didn't pop up until paying the bill... in other words, you WILL be paying more than the advertised rate. We stayed in Chalet 113 for three nights in late February, 2024. The room was clean, beds were good, front desk and restaurant employees very friendly. The positives end there... Furniture shows wear and tear. Housekeeping never came. We ran out of coffee & cups, filled our trash cans, and ran out of towels. We were able to get the items we needed by chasing them down ourselves, but what happened to a daily room cleaning...especially at these prices? WiFi was spotty. We worked around that by logging into the neighboring chalet's network. Two dinners at the restaurant were OK, but there are much better options in town - try Pipeline Craft Taps & Kitchen instead.
