Traveling Fools! Super staff. Check in was smooth Room was comfortable. Extra blankets came in handy. Nice selection of post cards. Coffee in lobby with to go breakfast bags, Nice selection of post cards that you can mail right at the front desk. Had broken my toe asked the front desk what we could see without hiking gave us several suggestions all amazing! $2.00 off your entrees if you dined in their restaurant. Kimberly our bartender showed grace under pressure! Her drinks were amazing & our dinners were great! Highly recommend this hotel! Our dogs loved it too!

Lots of positives, but too many negatives. There's a lot to like about the Shasta Inn, but a few too many negatives. What we liked: -Very clean. -Rooms and exterior are attractive. -Good quality in-room fridge and microwave. -Helpful staff. -Good shower with plenty of hot water. -Good quality beds/mattresses, although we prefer a less firm mattress. -Breakfast go-bag. However, there were several things that made our stay less enjoyable: -Instead of a table and chairs there was a 5' long counter with stools. After 10 minutes, the stools get mighty uncomfortable. -The air conditioner worker well, but it was positioned almost directly behind the counter & stools, blowing directly on us as we sat there. We had to turn it off to avoid freezing. -A circuit breaker tripped while we were microwaving our dinner, causing the microwave and fridge to turn off. We had to hunt down the maintenance person to fix it. -The room lost power for 15 minutes in the middle of the night, causing my husband's CPAP to shut down, waking him up. Bottom line: too much stress for us.

Good sleep Nice basic place to stay in Mt. Shasta town - clean, well-appointed rooms, plenty of pillows, friendly staff, partial view of Mt. Shasta out the window. I would stay here again. Pay attention to staff guidance about the stairwells - one is solid and normal, one is old and tricky to navigate with luggage!

Mold or Mildew The price was right for a convenient location, and the friendly proprietor let me look at the room before booking. It was clean and the vanity outside the bathroom seems to have been updated. Bed comfortable. College ski vibe decor. However, there was a terrible mold or mildew smell. I couldn't tell if it was from the loud window heating unit that comes on and off all night, or from the room itself. The toilet is very old and seems like it's about to overflow, then flushes ok. No heat or fan in the bathroom.

Nice enough motel in lovely area I stayed here to break up my long drive from central Oregon back to California. Shasta is a lovely area. The motel was conveniently located off the main road. Check-in was smooth and I got to my room quickly. Heard live music coming from the restaurant across the street so went over and had a salad and enjoyed the adjacent plant nursery. The room itself is tiny, which is fine since it was just me. It had a musty smell though, like wet wood. Bed was comfy and sheets and towels were all super clean. The shower got to lukewarm temperature, at best, and this was after running it for 5 minutes. Didn't want to waste any more water trying to get it warmer so took a shower in lukewarm water. Never got hot. TV picture was static-y. Ended the evening with a cocktail in the attached restaurant/lounge. Nice employees and great atmosphere. All in all, a good stay.
