I had the time of my life ! Mountain Lake Lodge rose above all expectations for my stay. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I have wanted to stay here for many years and this time I made it. I stayed in the lodge itself vs the cabins for this stay and the room was good. Although there is no air conditioning in the lodge rooms, they have fans and I opened my window and put the fan there and it cooled the room comfortably. Bath has all amenities included. The food at Harvest was excellent. Dinner was steak and it was cooked perfectly. Breakfast was buffet style with many choices. The grounds are well kept and they have a scavenger hunt where you look for things pertaining to the movie Dirty Dancing. You get a prize at the end. The lake is dry right now, but they have added a beautiful pool . I will be back again and again! I had the time of my life!

Such a beautiful resort I had the time of my life at this beautiful resort. This was a bucket list trip for me and my best friend who is being treated with chemotherapy. We stayed at the Chestnut Lodge which is amazing. We did some hiking and saw so much wildlife. We also enjoyed the Dirty Dancing Scavenger Hunt. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return.

Always nice to return to Mountain Lake We have been coming to Mountain Lake for 50 years. In all that time, the property has had its ups and downs. The good news is that it is definitely in a time of up! There are many upgrades and additions to the amenities. Although I sort of miss the times with no air conditioning or TV. (They have both now!). We especially enjoyed our excursion with Bo. We learned lots that we hadn’t heard before, even with many years of visits. Keep up the good work, Mountain Lake!

They don’t really want business We stopped by on a long road trip. It was beautiful. We decided to stop on our way back home. We made reservations for dinner. We checked with them about staying the night there. It was 5:30ish in the afternoon when we checked. I was told they had a room available. I said I wanted to book it. They said oh wait, I can’t. It’s now a two night minimum stay. So, you are going to let a room sit empty instead of renting it for one night. (I would have understood if it was a month, week or even a day in advance but it wasn’t. It was the night of.) They lost out on $400-500 because in addition to the room we were having dinner and we would have eaten breakfast the next morning. We canceled our dinner reservations and ate somewhere else. MLL was about 45 minutes (one way) out of our way but we were going to make the trip. I think it is a terrible way to do business.
