Expected More My wife and I booked a three-night weekend stay at the Grand Lodge Crested Butte for a corner suite room. First glance at entering the room the bed looked nice and comfy, but the rest of the furnishings were outdated and worn. The next morning there is no free breakfast cafe. There is a small bistro type that has takeaway food and expensive plate breakfast. Don't expect your room to be cleaned or not based on putting out a privacy tag on the door. You have to tell the desk in the morning to have your room cleaned. This is not a regular hotel. Each room is individually owned. Basically, a rent-a-room. There is a resort fee that provides internet, in room coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pool access and parking. You at some time will have to park in the dirt parking area if you arrive late. There is no free water in the room either. I give this an average rating and would hesitate to stay again.

Great Location and Great Staff! Loved the location and the Staff. Our room on west side was well appointed and had a great view from the 5th floor. The staff is amzing, smart and attentive. We heard some rooms on east side are not updated. The kitchenette was perfect for our 3 nights and the bed was very comfortable. The bike/ ski valet made life easier and the location was ideal. we parked our car forgot about it until we departed. The village shuttle goes every 15-20 min and fun. . Getting back to the hotel after dinner was also easy. we will be back!

Stay in Gunnison Terrible service, asked for Houskeeping every day, even scheduled it, but no one came in my 5 night stay. Wall paper pealing, no air conditioning & only 1 elevator worked. Resturant closed at 8PM (730 LOL) & terrible service. All this for ~$40/night extra fees. My advice is to stay in a cheap motel in Gunnison 35 miles away because Crested Butte itself is spectacular in July.

Comfortable, spacious and convenient Two comfy king beds (one a Murphy bed but no less comfortable). Large room. Great shower - hot water and good pressure. The cold water tap in the bathroom sink was non-functional but otherwise everything was good. Breakfast was not included, but was available.

I’ve Had Better Had a corner king suite. Great space, but extremely echo-y. Found someone else’s sock in the TV credenza, so clearly not thoroughly cleaned. No WiFi at all the whole time there (even with the password provided - no networks available!) and when I told the front desk, they all 3 stared blankly at me and said “but we have it on our phones.” No offers to help me connect or investigate, no apologies for the lack of internet for my phone or computer during my stay. Yikes. Embarrassing customer service display on behalf of Vail, tbh.
