Fantastic Lakeview This hotel has a FANTASTIC lake view if yourr room is on the lakeside-we put in a request for one and we were stoked when we got one. Staff were very nice there for our whole stay. We were on the 9th floor facing the lake and overlooking the marina and got one of the updated corner suites. The decor and space were really nice. No tub but we were able to make the shower work for our family’s needs. TVs were on the smaller end and I was a little disappointed with the lack of drawers. There was just an empty bookshelf under the TV that I used to put our clothes so that it was easy to get to for myself and child. Kitchenette had a counter with a sink, fridge, microwave and coffee pot. We brought our own breakfast but it is available for an additional cost and there is a connected restaurant. Another pro is it is easily in walkable distance to downtown which we took of advantage of to check out the local restaurants and coffee shop. All in all this is a hotel I would stay at again. The decor in the lobby could use some updates but I know they are working on updating the rooms at the moment.

Aging, but still a great stay After a hellish week my wife and I needed the healing of Lake Michigan, so we booked this hotel at the last minute for our second stay there. We got a 10th floor suite, room 1005. The suite was spacious with plenty of room to spread out and relax. The room was also scrupulously clean, and the bed was a perfect balance of cushy and firm. And either we didn't have any neighbors or the walls here are plenty thick; there was absolutely no noise from neighbors during our stay. And the views are absolutely magnificent, of Muskegon Lake and the marina next door. I have only a few minor quibbles. This hotel opened in 2002, and it looks as though the decor hasn't been touched since. So everything is still mauve and gold, and it's beginning to look really dated. The furniture and wall coverings are also getting pretty long in the tooth. The doorknobs on the bedroom could be pulled right out of the doors, and there was a bad patch job on the wallpaper in the bathroom. Also, why the dinky 32 inch TVs? Even two star hotels have bigger ones now. And we were bummed that the hot tub was "down for maintenance." On the bright side, the little cafe off the lobby makes a great sandwich if you want a quick meal without leaving the premises. Since this is the only real waterfront hotel within a pretty big radius, we'll probably be back.

Better places to stay in Muskegon Overpriced and poor accommodations When I booked I asked for room overlooking the water We got a very tiny room overlooking the highway. Everything is an up charge. They do not even have a coffee station. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in on our 10 day trip to Michigan's west coast and by far the worst place we stayed at. In our honest opinions it should be down the list of places to stay

Wonderful This hotel is wonderful and very comfortable. I love the on the water location and stunning lake views. Be sure to ask for a room with a lake view! The bar inside the hotel also has tasty food options. The hotel pool (indoor/outdoor) and hot tubs are great and very clean. The hotel location is ideal for easy access to downtown and Lake Michigan.

Great scenery, love the vintage look of the hotel, the atmosphere was relaxing, great staff, and wonderful accomodations The experience was wonderful. The scenery and the atmosphere was very relaxing. My family enjoyed the pools, and, the restaurant for a quick bite for breakfast. The scenery was breath taking, because I tried to capture as many naturistic photos. I didn't realize there were bbq grills outside also. My family & I will definitely be back.
