Bluewater Resort Myrtle Beach on Ocean Drive. Stay AWAY! First let's start by saying, that reviews on Airbnb are LIES! This place was dingy, old, and outdated. The stove was jimmy-rigged so using it was not safe. The AC in the living room leaked and had a huge puddle of water in the entire living room area. The unit is infested with roaches. We took pictures of everything and it was uploaded to Airbnb as proof. Although the owner offered to make amends it was too late for us. They wanted to start fixing the AC unit at 8:30 pm. Then offered to paint, repair the ceiling and replace the dented dingy bed. This was an overhaul that we didn't want to be a part of during our 15th anniversary vacation. Please read reviews on Google before the Airbnb reviews. I don't believe Airbnb looks into who is using their platform for rentals. They allow anyone to post fake, pictures, reviews and so on to lead consumers into a trap. Considering legal action at this point. Please be careful. This just happened last night 7/21/2024.

RUM BUCKET for the win!!!!!! Unit #1004 First off, I want to say that we had such an easy time booking with Cara. I had to upgrade to a two bedroom unit and it could not have been easier. Cara was very quick to respond to me. She's top notch! Check in was easy and parking is great. No problems there. Lobby was nice and cool and very clean. However, when we went to our unit, the AC was STRUGGLING to keep up with the broiling heat outside on the 10th floor breezeway, which was not breezy at all, due to windows placed on that side of the building. It felt like a sauna and not in a good way. However, when we called Cara she was very quick to respond and got a service man to our place PDQ! He was very nice and did what he could, but the AC was still struggling just to keep it 80 degrees in our unit. The next day, 2 more service men were there trying to work on it and they eventually brought in a stand up unit to try and help cool the place down. It worked fairly well and we were able to get the temp down to a more livable 74 degrees. It was not ideal, but we were ok. What made it nice was having Cara listen and respond so quickly! THANK YOU Cara! Overall, we loved the location, the pools, and everything so close by. The LIDO DECK TIKI Bar by the pool was our favorite and please try the RUM BUCKET......very yummy and worth every penny. The NY Pizza Restaurant on site was delicious too. GREAT TIMES!!!! We will definitely use Cara again for our next Myrtle Beach trip!!!!!

Go somewhere else We’re staying at the Bluewater in Orange Beach this year. We come down 2 times a year to the area and this is the most disgusting condo we have ever stayed in. Our internet didn’t work for the first 2 days, wads of hair in the living room, sand and dirty sheets, broken garbage disposal, mold in the bathrooms, floor turned our feet black, dishwasher is all mold, just not clean what so ever. Not just the condo itself but there has been broken glass at the pool all week and my husband got a shard in his foot as well as broken mirrors and glass in the bathrooms by the pool with no signs or warnings and my daughters went in to use the rest rooms. This morning the pool opened at 8 and the lady is still spraying the pool area with a garden hose spraying all the stuff from around the pool into the pool. Pool is disgusting. Elevators are past their service date by months. For $4,000 for 6 days we will never come back. This is our first time staying at Bluewater, just a heads up if anyone was thinking of staying here in the future. Talked to other people staying as well and they said the same about their condos.

All good! Oceanfront with fantastic views from large balcony area. Very friendly atmosphere. Mutiple pools and hot tub and sauna.

Amazing stay We searched for a 2 bedroom oceanfront condo for our Myrtle Beach family vacation. Cleanliness is our number 1 pre-requisite, followed by good amenities for our children. We came across unit 602 at the Bluewater Resort - we booked it immediately. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, has many pools, new exercise room, an in-house Restaurant and Tiki bar. The condo itself is amazing, has a full size washer and dryer, and an amazing 25 foot wide oceanfront balcony, beautiful beds and so much more. Reading the reviews, we were immediately struck by the back to back 5* Reviews on this condo, spanning over 10 years renting - in every review, beautiful and cleanliness was consistently mentioned. These owners also took the time to respond to every guest review posted on their condo. Our family had such a great time! This condo is indeed clean and beautiful, we will definitely be back. Note, that we have been recently advised by Cal & Issy that their unit 602 is joining the Official BlueWater In-House Front Desk Rental program -The company manages 1 other upscale resort and their reputation for rental standards (especially cleaning) is outstanding along the Strand.
