Disappointed Stayed for 3 nights. Property was attractive and well maintained. Included breakfast that was prepared was not good, IMO. Given that we were in Napa, the afternoon wines were unworthy of drinking. After we checked out, inn sent me an additional charge for replacing a pillow cover claiming a small blood spot was not permitted to be cleaned per OSHA. I have traveled hundreds of nights for decades and was never charged for replacing a soiled linen. They claimed it was “damaged” and my agreement said I would pay for damages. IMO a soiled linen is not damaged. I since spoke with several lodging operators and they all told me they never heard of such a charge. I also checked OSHA and found that blood could be cleaned with a widely available chemical. IMO management is being unreasonable and I will never stay here again.

Perfect honeymoon stay! We just spent 4 nights here for our honeymoon and the entire experience was wonderfully amazing. We ended up arriving much earlier than anticipated and Nicole at the front desk was so accommodating. They let us drop our bags and watched them while we explored downtown until the room was ready. The building itself is gorgeous, so much detailed woodwork and beautiful stained glass. It felt homey yet very elegant. The breakfast every morning was fresh, well thought out, and delicious. The daily wine and charcuterie board offerings in the afternoons were a delightful touch and we enjoyed getting to chat with other visitors. We stayed in one of the king suites and the room was clean, well appointed and had a balcony that felt like our own private garden oasis. We highly recommend this establishment, the staff were thoughtful and kind, the amenities were abundant, and you are literally a 5 minute walk from everything downtown Napa. Thank you Blackbird Inn, you helped make our honeymoon unforgettable!

Disappointing but a good location Disappointing! First, the noise level in Room 1 is totally unacceptable. I suspect room 3 wasn't much better. While road noise is not surprising, the noise from the dumb waiter is surprising. And it started before the limited wine service in the afternoon and then again at 7:30a for breakfast which is bit early for people on vacations. Also, the wine service is minimal - and breakfast is not at all up to speed. Eating on a tray in our room was not what we expected. The location was in a fair walking distance to restaurants so that was positive. The room was comfortable.

Fell short We were really looking forward to our stay here. Each time we travel to the US we like to include a few "up market" bed and breakfasts. Their style is usually unique, and the breakfasts have normally been wonderful. On arrival the place looked the part. Loved the fitted arts and crafts style interior. Receptionist showed us the details - coffee/tea/hot water, cookies, soft drinks fridge... We choose breakfast time - only 8.30 and 9.15 available, a bit later than we would Jane normally liked Room, whilst not the largest, was as expected. Comfortable bed. Smoke, fluffy towels, nice toiletries At 5pm there was wine and cheese/meat board in reception Where it all went wrong for us was at breakfast. First off there is insufficient seating for all that turned up for 8.30 - 3 tables of two plus settee seats. But at 'maximum' there were 8 or 9 couples. Juice, yoghurt, tea/coffee were there at 8.30. Breakfast didn't arrive until 8.45. It was a tray for each individual. On that there was a plate with "smoked salmon on toast" - this had clearly been fridged for a long time, overnight I would guess. This was alongside a hot-ish "omelette" - at least I guess that was what it was supposed to be. Tough, rubbery, unappetising. And a small pot of sliced strawberries and blueberries. And this was all on the tray together enclosed with clingfilm all across the top, trapping the steam inside. Most people disappeared with their trays, presumably back to their rooms. None of this was in the spirit of any B&B we stay in and was a great disappointment. Such a disappointment for approaching $200

Improve Breakfast Location was good and staff was helpful. The 5-6pm reception was good. That is why it got 3. Breakfast was very disappointing for a B&B. Expected cheese quich or French toast. We got salmon quiche (gross), next day a hard waffle. Our room was very noisy by the street.
