Not worth the price!!!! The good: the room was nice, most of the staff were friendly, the grounds were beautiful, the ice rink and igloos were a fun added touch. The Commons Bar: staff were friendly, drinks were good and the burger I got there was great! Highly recommend this bar. The bad: Christmas buffet ($159/person): This was the worst buffet I have ever been to. Upon arrival we were walked around an undecorated ball room to a table that was very dirty only to be guided to one that was “less dirty” after which I chose another table that was almost clean. Most tables were dirty with one having bacon and onions on the floor. They were never picked up. The actual food was outside which meant that, while the food was warm in the chafing dishes, as soon as it was placed on your plate it became cold since it was only in the upper 40’s. By the time we got to our table our entire meal was cold. The piece of Sea Bass that I had was completely raw when I went to cook a bite (and not raw in a good sushi kind of way). Additionally, when we walked out to the buffet area none of the 4-5 servers standing there offered any direction or guidance for where plates were or anything. I spoke with the manager that day who agreed how bad what I was telling him was. Upon check out I spoke with the lady at the desk who stated she would get that refunded. I was only refunded a little less than half, so we still paid $80/person for the worst buffet that could’ve given us food poisoning. Blend: the coffee shop coffee and food were mediocre at best. Iced mocha had virtually no coffee flavor at all. The protein bowl was bland and rubbery. Check in: My email specifically said to check in at the “Living Room” however when we got there the living room was closed. No one at the reservations place on the phone knew why or where to tell me to go. We finally got to the regular check in desk and were checked in. However, we were given incorrect information about where the Christmas buffet was which cause us to walk for fifteen minutes looking for it. Overall: This is not worth the money in my opinion. The only reason this is even 3 stars is because we got an incredible deal on the room rate. If we’d paid full price it would be zero stars! Look elsewhere for your stay in Napa.

Avoid this hotel I had high hopes for this hotel and was excited to spend New Year's here, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. To start, I paid the extra pet fee for our dog, expecting the bed and water bowl as promised on their website. However, neither was provided. I called the front desk, but they didn’t take any action until I went down in person. Only then did they address the issue. After the New Year’s party, my husband and I wanted a snack, so we tried to order from the in-room dining service, which their website and registration materials claim is available 24/7. When my husband called, they first said the service was closed. On our second call, they hung up without a response. On the third call, the front desk finally admitted they had run out of food. This lack of service was incredibly frustrating. The experience worsened when we noticed the elevator smelled horrible, which made every trip uncomfortable. To make matters worse, we saw a rat near the hotel entrance, which was completely unacceptable and shocking for a place of this caliber. At the New Year's party, the bartenders were another source of disappointment. They were slow, inattentive, and seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving guests. Additionally, when we turned off the AC in our room, there was an unpleasant odor, forcing us to sleep with the window open. Overall, this stay was not worth the price. The service and amenities fell far short of expectations, and I will not be returning.

Beyond disappointing, from service to overall experience. Regretfully, the room wasn’t ready at the check in time. I even showed up early (2:30pm) to ensure our room would be ready at 4 because we had dinner reservations at 530 for my son’s birthday. We wound up not getting into the room until 4:45pm, which impacted our dinner time and experience. To make matters worse, after we were done bowling on property, we went back to our room at 1130pm, only to be locked out because of a failed locking mechanism on the door. They proceeded to take the next 90 minutes to get us back into the room. Then we were woken up by the housekeeper just after 8am in New Year’s Eve. When I checked out, and let the front desk team know about our experience, they offered to waive the resort fee and offer a $50 credit. For a suite that we paid over $800 for, I found the gesture and the overall customer service experience sub-par. Very disappointing. From someone who likes to escape to Napa quite often, this will be a place we definitely don’t return to.

Great customer service! This review is specifically for Tiajhanna at the front desk. She went out of her way and worked some magic to get my room ready when I was in desperate need to check in. I was there for a conference, I was late, it was my first time away from my newborn baby so needless to say I was anxious and frazzled. She had such great customer service and could have easily just said “sorry nothing I can do” but she instead figured out a way. She was genuine and caring which meant so much to me during a somewhat stressful trip. Also, overall the hotel was beautiful, the room was great and all the other staff was great too! All around amazing experience.

First Timers but will definitely be coming back! First time visiting olive and hays with my family to celebrate early Christmas holiday’s, our server was Wilbert along with the other staff that were super welcoming and friendly. The service was above and beyond we will definitely be coming back for sure.
