Highly Recommend After reading all the negative reviews, I almost canceled. I’m so glad I didn’t! We had such a wonderful time. I’m a hotel/resort snob. I can find an issue with even the nicest places. But I’m telling you, this place met all my criteria. Maybe a couple tips : 1) coming right at check in time, you will wait in line. With a resort this big, I would expect it. If you are a Marriott member, check in on the app. Or grab an early dinner or walk around and check in a little later. 2) as a foodie, I don’t usually expect much from resort/hotel food. It’s always overpriced and lacking in taste. Manage your expectations or grab food at many of the restaurants in/around Nashville. The grounds were beautiful! Give yourself time to walk around and explore. If you have small kids make sure you check out the Delta wing in the evening. They have a free show on the river that features pirates and princesses. The water park was so much fun. (Tip: they have life jackets for kids so you don’t have to worry about bringing one. There were always plenty available.) The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean! Only thing that had me scratching my head was that there weren’t any wash cloths in the room. I would assume if you called housekeeping you could get some but we were so busy I kept forgetting to call. I would definitely stay again and I have recommended it to many!

Absolutely awful Had the misfortune of booking a staycation for my daughter’s birthday. I should have stayed at home. They advertise room service but there is none beyond a very very limited menu. We went to 3 restaurants between 5-5:30 and could not get a table for 2. We finally got a seat at the wine bar and the bartender told us we “had 2 minutes to order or he didn’t know when he would be back.” Y’all. The room is so small the sink is outside the bathroom. For $300 + $40 for parking in BF nowhere, this place is a joke. It is understaffed and half the amenities are closed. I will never ever stay here again.

Don’t get a rideshare service from Gaylord Nothing can spoil a good stay like not being able to find your Lyft driver because they won’t let them come and pick you up. Gaylord needs to get with the program and realize that ridesharing services are no different then having someone you know pick you up. I had to walk a half a mile dragging two suitcases in 95° weather to catch up with my driver. And that is wrong.

Bad, over priced food The hotel itself was very pretty and appeared very clean. However we ate at the Italian restaurant Ravello. It was extremely over priced and the food was some of the worst I e had in a long time we started with calamari which wasn’t bad but the bottom pieces were to greasy to eat. My daughter’s chicken tender were over breaded, hard and couldn’t be torn apart which made it look like very fake chicken. Her grout wasn’t ripe either. My husband’s chicken Alfredo had too much pepper and parsley in and it was all you tasted. I wasn’t very hungry and didn’t order anything after the appetizer. Getting the billed at the end of a 1/2 eaten meal was the worst considering it was over $70. Next we tried to get ice cream at carvel, which again was very overpriced and not very good. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere other than the hotel.

Stunning Common Areas, Average Rooms, Awesome Staff, High Prices. We will start with the positives and work our way down. First, I will say that the waterpark staff were amazing. Each lifeguard acted like they enjoyed their job working with kids at the surfing ride at SoundWaves. Terrific customer service on that end. The common areas were stunning and well taken care of. The different areas provided a lot of excitement but was a little loud. Lastly, the rooms were simply average hotel rooms that look like they showed wear and tear. I understand the high charges simply because of the common areas and maintenance but the $20 resort fee per day should cover that. The room layout is no different than a budget hotel. Beds were comfortable but sagging. Bathroom was showing wear and tear as well. For the cost, the rooms could be better. The next time I an in Nashville, I will probably stay downtown. Most downtown hotels cost the same as Nashville is an expensive hotel city. Being close to the Grand Ole Opry is a plus but updated rooms are a must for the price this place charges. Staff was amazing, grounds were stunning but rooms were average at best with a traditional layout of a bathroom to the right or left upon entering room, then a larger area with two queen beds. We stayed at other hotels for a third of the price and double the space on our recent road trip but nowhere near the size and options of Nashville.
