Pick another hotel As a platinum Hilton member, I've stayed in more than my fair share of properties. This one, by far, is the most run down and over-priced that I have ever experienced. Closed pool, noisy air conditioner, mildew smelling carpet, burnt out light bulbs and hair in the bathroom. We checked out immediately and the front desk staff could not have been nicer or more professional and kindly canceled our reservation without penalty. That being said, five days later and I am still waiting for my points to be refunded to me and must be done by the hotel manager directly as they approved the late cancelation. This I find unacceptable on both the hotel and Hilton's part that this cannot be done through customer service.

Should have been 5 Ok, minor rant at Hilton's continuing wi-fi policies. Pretty much all of the other chains have shifted from a "internet is a premium service we can charge for" to "internet is an expected feature of a hotel". Everybody has a cell phone which generally provides pretty decent internet nowadays! All of the Hilton chains continue to provide "basic" access for free, but charge an extra fee for "premium" access. On top of that, regardless of whether you want to pay the extra fee, each device has to be registered with their system, which is generally slow and semi-broken. It took me 3 tries on each device to get it into the system which offered massively slower access than the cell internet on my phone. It is a REAL annoyance to have to go through this for a family's worth of devices after a long day of driving, and significantly reduces the "ahh I can relax at the hotel" feeling at the end of the day. With the rant out of the way, this is a nice, reasonably new Hampton. Rooms are nice, clean and well furnished. Shower was good, bed was comfortable, cell-phone room keys worked well, staff were friendly, so overall very good. This is a smaller Hampton, so aside from the internet annoyances, a couple of other things to note: the breakfast bar is one of the smaller ones due to the smaller hotel, but still has most of the standard options, including mini-waffles. The exercise room is a bit of a joke, with a single kind of low-end elliptical and one bike. Not even a treadmill. Still, the elliptical worked properly, and was enough to stretch the muscles out after a long drive. So, basically everything you'd expect from a Hampton of this size. If they would just fix their stupid wi-fi policies, I'll go back to 5 stars again.

Not friendly front desk people Honestly, I normally go with “if you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything”, but this time, OMG I MUST let it out! The front desk service is just beyond horrific! Now I understand why people rather stay at an airbnb. They are so not friendly. It’s like they are doing you a favor when you ask if someone is going to clean the room after 4 days of stay! The hotel is very basic and I’m not expecting a 5 star hotel service, but I do expect a friendly front desk attendant that enjoys his/her job and at least greet you with a smile or a good morning/good afternoon. Someone that enjoys their job. This people are miserable. I expect a basic room cleaning service at least every other day without having to be begging for it. They will welcome you with a face of “what do you want now?” It’s just an uncomfortable place to stay having front desk people like this. I would NOT stay here again.

Great overnight stop Stopped here to get a jumpstart on a cross country road trip out west. Got in late and left early, but was clean, quiet and had a good breakfast. Area seemed nice as well, was easy to get on and off the interstate. Clean and quiet, was perfect for our needs.

Stay away from this hotel This stay was with a hockey team and the management of this hotel needs to consider not letting larger groups stay at the hotel. They did not like the fact that we had a large group and used the lobby to sit together. They complained about our kids being in the parking lot areas where there was no one parked, just to have them come inside into the rooms for them to complain about us there. We asked to use the banquet room for them to tell us it was not available. At this point we had the kids contained to rooms just to have management walking the hall ways to try and find which rooms they were in to let us know he had a noise complaint. Never once did the manager approach the individual responsible for the room to solve the problem. He just came to the group and said he was going to start removing guests from the hotel. Guests please be aware of this hotel before you book. If you are a large group and a traveling sports team please think twice before you book this hotel.
