The noise was unbearable Visited Nashville over the weekend and stayed for 3 nights. This is a basic 3 star hotel and a fairly dated Hampton Inn. The bedding was very cheap with barely any thickness to the comforter. The couch was worn and had a slant to it when you sat down. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was just a trickle. Brushed my teeth in the kitchenette sink. But the worst part of this stay was the street noise at all hours of the night into the early morning of 2:00/3:00 am. Between the party buses, pedal taverns, “woo” girls, sirens, car exhausts, motorcycles, etc - it is impossible to get solid sleep. Over 3 nights we both got pockets of naps all night. The glass does not appear to have any noise blocking. My guess is these are just panes of glass. I did not complain because what could have been done. The hotel appeared to be sold out. Breakfast was ok. We only ate there 1 morning. There’s a bakery adjacent to the hotel which had nice light salads/sandwiches. This hotel is in need of an upgrade. It was very expensive to stay here. Next time, we will choose elsewhere. I will say, the front desk staff was very nice at check in.

Very noisy on the highway side Sound insulation is sub standard for a modern hotel. Could hear trucks braking even with earplugs in. Ask for a room on the other side. Air-conditioning quite noisy too as it turned on and off with the thermostat. Rooftop bar quite good. Small pool.

Great location The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to several attractions and restaurants. The staff were friendly (hi Alec!) and they offer free coffee in the lobby all day. There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room which was nice. There was a lot of road noise though, and the pillows were limp and terrible. The tub, while functional, is in desperate need of maintenence. Please look at room 410.

Compromises for the price First, the good news: the rooms are big, the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is very good. The staff is pleasant. The location is excellent. Now the bad news: The walls are thin, street noise is like you have no windows or walls at all so you hear party buses people on the street, ambulance-firetruck-police in a consistent pattern every night. Housekeeping is every other day, which is fine until you need something then you kind of have to snatch it off of a maids cart. Parking is $49 a day and it's valet only. If you have a big vehicle, it goes up to 60 bucks so that's inconvenient when you want to go in and out a lot although they don't charge you for in and out it's just tipping every time. They have a link where you can tip but you don't know if the guy who helped you is actually getting it or if it just goes to a general pool. As a sidenote, I had a bunch of boxes I was loading in and out of my vehicle all week and not one valet guy asked if they could help me. It wasn't hard, it's just the point. I mean, you're in the hospitality business. (There is no bellman.) The details of the room are overlooked, caulking around the fixtures and the tub -the tiling is patchwork. There's rust at the fixtures. The water pressure isn't super great. The fan in the bathroom works intermittently stupid stuff like that which is noticeable but moderately irrelevant to the stay. For the price I'd really only expect a quieter stay, the other stuff I sort of expect.

Demand $50-75 for check in before 4:00 Just arrived. Hope this stay improves. I asked about an early check in and, despite many available rooms, was told “it’s $75… but I’ll give it to you for $50.” Yeah, no thanks. I’m hosting a group of colleagues here and was considering having a large 100+ event here. No longer. This will be my last stay here. As a regular Hilton traveler this is very disappointing and rude.
