Worst Day Pass experience ever I cannot comment on the hotel as I did not stay overnight. We booked a day pass while on a cruise. It was expensive. As to the pass itself, service was practically nonexistent except for the gentleman who assisted me in getting to the pool due to mobility issues, Mr. Cool, and then later 2 gentlemen who assisted in helping us finally get our lunch and a taxi, Smith and Lavado. The pool was dirty and disgusting and filled with bugs. The food itself was not appetizing. And forget getting water promptly or even a drink. This facility has no business selling day passes and any company that does so should reexamine its policies.

Don't waste your time or money visiting this place. Don't waste your time and money visiting this terrible excuse for a hotel. We have visited the Bahamas several times in the past 4 years. We were looking for something different to do, and after reading online reviews we chose a visit to this hotel. Arrived after an expensive taxi ride, to be told there were no staff to serve us. This was a Tuesday afternoon, well after lunch time, and the temperatures were dropping off, so no reason to close up facilities due to the heat. The 'reception' guy was a mature fellow, and half asleep, telling me that no staff could be available to serve us. This is meant to be a 'go to' venue for tourists and boasts great service and a unique experience. Yes it was unique, in so much as it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel, especially one that is supposed to offer great service!!! I would not recommend a visit, not just because of my experience, but the website is terrible, and clearly the place cannot be bothered to 'go the extra mile' for paying customers. The place looked and smelled old! Don't waste your money visiting here.

Awful hotel Don’t waste your money with this hotel. Booked a room for the last night we were in Nassau. When we arrived at the property we were denied access by staff due to a nearby fire. I told the staff member we had a room booked and he said no one was being allowed on the property. We then booked a room at another hotel and called the hotel to request a refund. An incredibly rude woman from the hotel denied the refund and then lied about staff keeping us from coming onto the property. Spend your money elsewhere. These people are thieves.

So disappointing My husband and I dined at Graycliff last night. The building and decor are stunning. The gentleman host was very stern (a bit like a scary librarian). The rest of the staff was charming and lovely. I ordered the “ bits of lobster tail with cream sauce” as an appetizer and was very disappointed that the lobster was so chewy and tough that I literally could not even cut it with my knife. The flavors were good though. Then my snapper came. Cooked in plastic, honestly I thought it said parchment. I would never eat anything that had been heated up or cooked in plastic! Again the fish was so overcooked, dry and chewy. Also cooked in peppers and onions which it did not say on the menu and had I known I would have ordered some else. It was a massive disappointment. I was also told I should tour the wine cellar but they acted annoyed when I asked about seeing it. To be fair, they were very busy.

A very disappointing experience This is a quirky hotel; rooms are more tired boudoir than shabby chic. We were in the pool cottage set in the lush gardens and as the name suggests right by the pool. The pool is gorgeous but attracts large numbers of tourists, and the guides often stopped outside the cottage to explain loudly the pool's history. The restaurant is overpriced and not as good as it seems to think it is. My husband had to send his steak back as it was overdone. To be fair, the service was attentive and when the second steak arrived, my husband said it was as good a steak as he's had anywhere. Graycliff makes a thing of its extensive wine list but to present diners with a wine list that is over 150 pages long is ridiculous. We felt we were pushed into spending more than the wine warranted. The 'complimentary' continental breakfast was farcical. Tax and service is not included and for a bit of toast, croissant and muffin is not good value. That said the service was friendly and attentive. Graycliff have been totally unresponsive to my follow-up emails to chase a refund. $250 was taken to cover incidental expenses but we ended up settling the account on an another card and the $250 has not been refunded. I have tried to email directly (multiple times), used their website form and through booking.com but I haven't even received an acknowledgement.
