Good value. Would stay here again. Interesting, fun decor-different looking than most hotels. Friendly & efficient front desk staff. After reading previous reviews I was concerned about cleanliness but we found our room to be very clean. Even had a mini- fridge which was an unexpected plus. Bed and room temp were very comfy. I think the Pantry restaurant was closed the Sunday AM we were there but plenty of good fining options nearby. I would stay here again if in the area. Comparatively good price.

Book anywhere else - DISGUSTING The rooms are outdated and extremely filthy with stained carpets, scuffed walls, dust in every corner (including in the AC), filthy counters that have drink rings and sticky spots, and black shower floors. The hotel smells old and the rooms smell like mildew. The shower didn’t drain in my first room, so I was moved to a second… and both were just as gross… so it wasn’t just a “one off” or “fluke”. I had to return my avocado toast at the breakfast spot downstairs because they literally just used guacamole and the eggs were undercooked. The smoothie seemed to be from a bag… didn’t drink it. Honestly, I left here feeling like I needed a shower and just praying I don’t get beg bugs. I’ll update if I do. If my company didn’t pay for it, I would have asked for a refund and checked out to find another spot. Hilton needs to drop this chain BAD.

Awful experience attempting to book an event I just had an absolutely horrible experience attempting to book events here that spanned six weeks. Firstly, they had just hired a new events coordinator. I went and toured the facilities (hour round trip for me) and loved what I saw in person. I left my contact information to see a proposal and never heard back. I thought it was something I may have done or said and felt very self conscious after leaving voicemails at the events number. Turns out, she didn't last very long in the position. I then send out a colleague who lives closer to speak with someone who gets me the information of a new contact, why they didn't return my original voicemail is still lost on me. So we begin discussions all over again and this new contact has to take it back to their superior on my requests for as much event space as they can offer once a month. Keep in mind over a month has passed since my tour. A few days later I hear back, I want to book at least three months out and give the hotel very consistent revenue opportunities. They don't want to take me on "because we host other social events". I run very family friendly events myself, I AM a social event! The logic of the entire experience is simply lost on me, I still don't understand it and their reasoning. I could have provided this location very consistent, healthy revenue but they didn't want to partner with me because why, they have "better" opportunities available to them? Avoid them for your social events, again the whole experience left a really sour taste in my mouth so I wanted people to be sure you knew this could happen to you, as well.

Form over function--sadly It seems that Hilton is trying to be hip by opening some new brands that aim for trendy. Tru hotels seem aimed at the notion that younger-generation travellers don't use cash ever and don't unpack--and based on what I experienced, don't want comfort or function. The Verve hotels seem to make similar errors. You enter to find on your left in the breezeway, two dozen large lava lamps--would be more impressed if they were plugged in and turned on. Continue in and find that they're themed for the last half of the 20th Century--OK. Move to the desk and find very friendly people to check you in. The place is crowded with prior century kitsch. Andy-Warhol style posters of celebs, a couple of phone booths (one from the early 20th century), an Asteroids video game (not working), a Honda motorcycle. '80s music on the sound system.::So, safely exconced in our room after a short jaunt to a good dinner place, we cozied up with our computers and the TV. To their credit, the room was reasonably spacious and I liked its basic layout But the stuff that matters was less than adequate. Both nights, the TV suddenly went dark, to return shortly after. The wifi was weak and I kept getting kicked off of it for no reason--one desk clerk commented that a lot of guests had just checked in and the demand may have overloaded it--so here's a clue, hire someone competent to increase it! The at in the rooms is poster art, some amusing, some creepy. The bathroom contained a large Warhol-esque Monroe with "Boop Poop Pee Do" I large letters--wrong character, juvenile text, but worse--there was no where in the bah to hang a towel. There was one little peg, but it was wobbly and towels fell on the floor. We reported it on day 1 and it was still loose when we checked out 2 days later. Hey Hilton--throw away that stupid poster that takes up the wall space next to the shower and put up a damned towel rack! The facility does have a number of very nice meeting rooms if you are holding an event. There's a bar on site and a tiny restaurant--on n=my first morning I thought I'd get an overpriced breakfast there, but when I arrived shortly after they opened at 7, there were no open tables and the line for the breakfast buffet stretched out the door--and no sign of table service if you wanted to order a laca=re. I settled for a crummy egg-cheese bagel from the snack shop and horrid in-room Keurig coffee (when will people figure out that K-cups are not good coffee?). I've had far worse hotels and I would stay here again if I had to be in Boston, since their rates are reasonable. But I can't excape the nagging imagination of Hilton corporate suits in a board room somewhere congratulating each other on how cool and with it they are.
