A Jewel of a Hotel Stayed at the fabulous Bienville House while spending a few days in NewOrleans. Check in was quick. Love the on site parking. King bed was lovely for sleeping with several fluffy pillows. Clean room no smells. All staff very friendly and you can’t beat the location.

Relaxed Romantic Weekend Hubby and I stayed here for an anniversary weekend. We loved everything about this hotel. It's not slick or fancy with capital letters; it's old-school lovely. The staff is caring and attentive. They will guide you to restaurants. When I asked where I could find ice cream, Miss Adrianne walked me a couple doors over to Southern Candymakers! When we were walking over to Toulouse Theater and it started to rain, Miss Cynthia gave me her very nice personal umbrella! I would absolutely go there again and recommend that friends do to.

Boutique quality and cozy experience This is an example of a true boutique motel. The service was exceptional. Cleanliness was exceptional. Location in the French Quarter was well placed. Every staff person was helpful, friendly, and service oriented. The room was clean, comfortable and historically furnished. The bed was great and one member has back issues that require a special mattress. She did not need it as the bed was softer than most hotels and still supportive. This is a great stay for couples!

Good option for a shorter trip to New Orleans We stayed here one night before moving over to a "chain" hotel for a business trip. We arrived one day early to attend a concert and wanted to experience a "unique" New Orleans hotel for a night. Bienville House was a good choice. No complaints about the room other than the fact that it did not have a window. I really loved the look of the bathroom - the LED mirror was especially cool! The bath products provided were really nice, and there were "5-star" hotel touches such as providing sewing kits, vanity kits, mouthwash and shower caps beyond basic toiletries. We learned that Bienville House guests actually have access to Hotel Monteleone amenities - we weren't able to take advantge of this since we didn't arrive until the evening. Bienville House is a great option if you're spending a night or two in New Orleans, but if you're wanting a more "resort" kind of feel or plan on a longer trip, you should probably stay elsewhere...unless you're fine with going to Hotel Monteleone to experience a more resort-like atmosphere. Overall, we enjoyed our very brief stay here and would consider staying again on a short trip.
