How can a hotel be surprised by guests showing up Spent a lot of (non refundable) money to stay near the dome for a concert. It’s now 4:40pm. 4:00 check in. Still not in a room. Got here at 2:40 hoping for an early check-in. _ Seems like systems just aren’t in place. Zero efficiency. Won’t ever be back.

Best trip! Stayed at this hotel to go to saints vs eagles game. The first night we got in we had no idea what we wanted to do we were so tired and Ni suggested his favorite place! It was amazing! Ni worked the whole weekend we were there and there was not a time he did not help us. Carried our bags, suggested places to go and just all around was the friendliest person to us on our trip. The hotel is within walking distance of everything. We only had to Uber to and from airport! It was clean and the restaurant inside had good quality food! Highly suggest!

A Great Hotel to stay in and Experience New Orleans There is quite a few negative or less than positive reviews of this hotel so when I went, I was wondering if I choose the wrong hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at finding the complete opposite from the reviews. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. From the gentlemen who greeted us at the entrance to desk check-in to housekeepers and our favorite Quinn, the lounge bartender. It has to be one of the friendliest hotels I’ve ever stayed it. This hotel dates back to 1803 and is one of three historic hotels in New Orleans. As is mentioned in the other reviews, there is a $20 per day Historic Fee that this hotel and the other two historic hotels charge. I didn't investigate further if this is a city requirement and/or these historic hotels have to meet certain city codes because of their historic status. I have to agree though with the other reviews that this was not clearly explained until I made an inquiry about it because of the reviews here. It was explained that if you book directly with the hotel the Historic Fee is part of your bill. If you book online or some other third party the Historic Fee is not added, and I was told it is explained in the bill somehow. Honestly it was not made clear to us and when my wife checked us in, she was not told about the Historic Fee and my wife used to work as a check-in desk clerk for a hotel group for several years, so she knows the process very well and knows what she was told and not told. This hotel needs to do a better job at informing it's guests up front about this Historic Fee. We found the hotel to be spectacular in its decor in the lobby and the rooms. Our room (506) was a roomy 2-Queen bed room with a very modern bathroom and shower, and everything worked as it should. The TV was a flat screen about 40-50" in size. The TV had 4K sharpness and had the capability to connect the TV to your Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts so you can watch your own content. It then has a feature to delete your account information when you want. The view out the window of the room isn't great but it wasn't a factor to us. My one complaint about the room is the A/C in the room. Full disclosure, I want/need my room very cool especially for sleeping. The A/C cannot be set lower than 65 degrees, which I'm sure is an EPA regulation, however the room never got cooler than 69 degrees. I even asked for the hotel to check the A/C, and engineering said it was working as it should. The hallway and the lobby were cooler to me. My wife was happy with the room temp, so you can say I'm very picky. I did sleep well in the comfortable bed, but with less covers than I prefer. Speaking of the bed, other reviews complained about the beds. I have a top-of-the-line Sleep Number bed at home so I'm rarely happy with hotel beds, but this hotel bed I found surprisingly comfortable. We found the hotel in a great location. A few short blocks from the National WWII Museum and a couple other museums in walking distance. Across the street we had a great breakfast at Daisy Mae's Southern Fried Chicken & Breakfast and on another day a nice lunch at Jimmy John's. There is Rouses Market two blocks from the hotel that is an amazing market with grocery store prices if you want snacks, drinks, beer & wine at reasonable prices. (The bottles of water in your room will cost you $8 a bottle). But if you’re in New Orleans you want to go to Bourbon or Frenchman Street to get the best food of New Orleans. It cost us about $10-$15 (With Tip) for an Uber ride to both locations. There is too many good places to eat to mention here. The famous Steamboat NATCHEZ which is a real riverboat paddle boat ride is also about cost for an Uber ride. Another option is the trolley which there is a stop a block from the hotel that goes to Canal Street where there is an abundance of restaurants and shops. You can also get other trolleys that can take you to other parts of the city, or just ride the trolley for as long as you want to the end of its line, then ride it back. The cost for this trolley ride is $1.25. Can't beat it. So my wife and I found the Le Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans a great place to stay for several days while experiencing New Orleans.

Terrible I’m not the one to ever leave a review but this is a must!! DO NOT EVER STAY HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT EVER!! Only thing this place has to offer is the design and it being historical. The beds are uncomfortable, they don’t tell you about a historical fee being taking out of your deposit no pool, just a large building of nothing!! The coffee machine didn’t work(and when ask for another it never came), the water barely work,no welcoming employee faces during our stay. Do as you please but I didn’t enjoy my stay at all
