Perfect Hotel We had a fantastic stay at Place d'Armes in the French Quarter for our anniversary stay July 7-10! We absolutely love staying there! The room is always clean. The courtyard is always beautiful and amazing for relaxing at the tables placed throughout, and the staff are always so nice. It couldn't be located in a better spot. We were able to walk everywhere, going back to the room to relax when our feet got tired, before heading back out to walk around some more. Almost every year (since 2001) when we come down for our anniversary, we stay here! If we don’t stay here, it’s because they were fully booked for the dates we wanted! I would recommend Place d'Armes to everyone who mentions they are coming to New Orleans. P.S. Dana, our room had a luggage rack, so I think they took your suggestion to heart!

We.ve stayed at dozens in N.O., Place d'Armes is a winner. Ideal location, particularly if you're gallery browsing on Royal. Steps away from Cafe Du Monde, and from the balcony, you're peering at the frontage of St. Louis Cathedral. Personally, we didn't want a courtyard view (just don't know how loud other occupants can be, but we were off-season, no festivals, no Mardis Gras, dead of summer), but couldn't have been happier with the room. And the welcoming courtyard afforded us a quiet moment to relax. We've stayed at dozens of hotels in N.O., top end to 3-star. While the utilitarian lobby lacks the glitz and glamour found at the higher end, the room was clean, comfortable and every bit as comparable. Beyond this, the service and personability top to bottom, matched or exceeded even the top end hotels. Similarly, we dined at Antoine's, who's staff, from host to waiter, totally failed to acknowledge our celebration. Not Place d'Armes, which made our visit even more memorable. If you crave the prestige of Monteleone or Roosevelt, go for it; if you want to save a few $s and feel like you're a part of New Orleans and not just in a hotel, here's an interior alternative.

An excellent place to stay! We were so excited to return to this location after many years staying elsewhere! We encountered an employee that was not as excited to see folks staying there as we were. Their lack of caring resulted in a broken laptop and uncaring words spoken. Perhaps a retraining video in hospitality should be watched. Ms. Patrice the front desk manager and our checkout bellman during the day reassured us that “everything’s going to be all right”! The location is fabulous and the room was wonderful. We will try again in the future.

Loved the historical vibe and location! Such a charming, historic hotel! Our room faced one of the courtyards filled with trees, bistro tables, a fountain and the pool. Pool towels were provided. Our room had an exposed brick wall and the beds were so comfortable. We felt so safe and the employees were wonderful, especially Rody and Andre! There is no restaurant on site, but we did get food delivered. The location was perfect for visiting Jackson Square, Cafe Du Monde, and Royal St. (Recommend CC’s on Ryal St for coffee!) It was easy to get a Lyft to local spots. We definitely plan to stay here again!
