Best Hotel in New Orleans Wow! What can I say to express my thanks to this group which owns The Prytania Oaks, Prytania Park and the St. Anne Hotel! Parking is in a secured lot and available at no cost to their hotel guests. BIG BONUS in NOLA! At check in, The person checking me in was delightful! Very simple check in! She explained the parking, breakfast and the Prytania Oaks Hotel. She also gave me a map of the Garden District! My room was awesome! It was one of 16 rooms and was perfect! The bed was so comfortable, furniture was beautiful and the bathroom was huge! I would give the Prytania Hotels and especially the Prytania Oaks 20 stars, if I had not been limited to 5 stars! It's truly that wonderful! And finally to top it off, my 3 nights price was extreme value for money! Brava, Prytania Oaks Hotel! You are the BEST!!!!!

Good Value. Especially If Parking! Nice Place. Prytania is a very good value. If you're taking advantage of thier free parking then, compared to other options, Prytania Oaks is a great value! Checked into room 161 & AC did not work. They moved me to an adjacent room and everything was fine. Both rooms were clean. I loved the old fashioned charm - high ceilings, oak lined street, building smelled clean but old (perfect!). Free parking is "secure" (there's an overnight security guard and gate) but do not leave anything in your car - you might know it's just a bag of garbage but crack heads might break in to investigate. My car was fine for 4 days. Personally, I was perfectly satisfied with the free breakfast too. I usually stay closer to (or in) French Quarter but I actually enjoyed riding 24 hour Streetcar ($3 per day) back & forth. Great opportunity to be immersed in another neighborhood for portions of several days! Before booking, Hotwire told me the advertised deal was for either Prytania Oaks or other specific hotel. I knew it was for Prytania Oaks (search online for the tricks on how to determine what hotel you're likely to get). I asked Prytania Oaks to cut out middle man so they'd get the entire $99 but they declined. So I booked thru Hotwire.

Mardigras trip Please eliminate your “continental breakfast “ it is a joke! Too cold in eat in a dingy outside corridor of a motel that you have to walk to since the Oaks does not have a facility for breakfast anymore, Another example of taking advantage of COVID to offer a low standard of service. Housekeeping not good-had to request toilet paper, coffee cups and condiments not replenished, coffee maker left dirty. Only plus was the location. Historic home deserves better maintenance. We live in an 1893 home in Galveston that we maintain much better, and Pyrtania Oaks is a business so the standard should be higher. Having to travel to sister property not convenient at all, but once you see what a joke “continental breakfast” is you don’t need to bother a second time. BTW wouldn’t allow me to use bathroom at the breakfast property.

Could do better During the current pandemic the one thing I would expect from any hotel is for the room to be clean. I know the housekeeping was going to be reduced during my stay. However on arriving at my room (161) I was greated with dust bunnies behind door and all over the curtains/drapes. Also I ran a piece of tissue over the floor in the bathroom and it was fillthy with other people's hair and dirt. The safe did not work, I did report this to reception but nothing was done during the length of my stay. Also a member of staff on reception (Lee) was quite rude and not very helpful. This could be a nice place to stay but it must improve on customer service and cleaniness.

Weekend Wedding in New Orleans Our room was on the first floor of an old two two story New Orleans home. The details were original to the home (polished original wood floors, high ceilings and deep molding!) The bath was updated to accommodate a shower, vanity and toilet. Each space hade a faux fireplace which added to the charm. The breakfast was typical coffee, juice and easy pick up and go foods. Parking was at the main hotel site a block away which was a little getting used to at first but it was secured with an off duty policeman.
