Disappointed in NOLA… Let me preface this review by stating that I’ve stayed at The Saint about 7 times, and every time has been amazing, and that’s why I continue to return, however that has come to an abrupt end! My family and I arrived at the hotel and there was no valet or staff to help us with our luggage. It was not a big deal because I know the industry took a hit during the pandemic. We were greeted by Candace at the front desk and she was amazing, and she is the only reason why I rated the Hotel a 2. The first room we were given had a large stain on the rug which appeared to be blood and it was disgusting. Candace graciously changed our room to a higher floor and all was well, so I thought. I awakened to a water leak in the bathroom light fixture. Maintenance was called, and they assured me the leak was taken care of. My family and I left for the day and returned to the same leaky light fixture. I requested a manager, and no one followed up with me until the the end of the following day. The front end manager, Janelle finally contacted me and assured that she would send someone to fix it. In the interim she offered drink vouchers for the bar or points for our Bonvoy account to which I declined. She ultimately comped 2 days of parking. She never sent anyone to fix the leak continued for 2 additional days. I’m not certain if she understands that water and electricity do not mix, but the combination could’ve been detrimental to life and to the safety of someone or the hotel structure itself. I should’ve called the Fire Department, but I wanted to give management the opportunity to do what needed to be done. I also failed to mention that I was traveling with a toddler. This hotel was recently acquired by Marriott and is not living up to the standards that stand behind the Marriott portfolio. I will be contacting Marriott Corporate and the Louisiana State Government about the condition of this hotel.

Horrible Day 1 check in hotel Cairo front desk was amazing. He greeted us with a small even made small jokes to make us laugh. Little did we know once we arrived to our room it was a dirty room. Bathroom clearly wasn’t clean despite the rust inside toilet is understandable but a dirty bathroom is not. So we decided to go out. Told the new front desk agent about the problems she suggested we switch rooms which was great when we got to the new room is was full of Cigarette smoke so that was a no go. We was tired and decided to keep our room. After being out at night full of drinks we came back to the hotel room first thing we thought of was to put the safety latch on to ensure of safety from the pictures you can see it’s missing. Once again we complain the next morning. We went to breakfast they fix the latch. We returned to our room after breakfast changed clothes and realize we was stuck in the room. The door was jammed lock wouldn’t release. Someone on the other side had to push while we pull to get us out the room. So now of course we had to change rooms we went to a room on a lower floor. Not the room I paid for. I ask hotel how am I being compensated for my un pleasant experience after experience. Janel front end manager stated on you will be receiving 5000 points. I told her I am not satisfied I didn’t experience one incident nor pay for a lower class room. 353 dollars for 2 nights in a hotel where I am a loyal member Titanium level. This is unacceptable. I will never stay there. 5000 points is not even a free night! You would have done better by comping a night!

Interesting Vibe for a Marriott This hotel had good reviews and after staying there I am a little confused. The hotel had a great location and pricing, which is why we chose to stay here. When we arrived the hotel was very clean, but it had "play naughty" written in numerous places and it was weird for a Marriott. We could also tell the hotel had once been something else as they have tried to renovate, but there were still issues. The do not disturb signs also had some questionable art on them. I would not recommend bringing children to this hotel. It was fine for the one night, but we will not be back.

Very Cool My wife and I decided to run off to New Orleans for a week and instead of the usual hotels I stay at for business (Marriott, Hilton, etc) we decided to try The Saint. The only thing I can say is it's very eclectic and pretty cool. We found the staff fantastic, especially Cairo at the front desk. Location on Canal is great. Be aware the nighttime noise if you are facing the street is pretty significant, but hey, it's New Orleans. Room needed a little TLC and we had to get some things repaired which occurred without issue. Glad we got out of the box and tried something very different.

Will never return We went here for our honeymoon. When booking we specifically searched for hotels with room service. To our surprise upon arrival this hotel’s restaurant/ room service were closed even though online it said open with limited hours. The biggest reason we will never return is because there is not a single microwave. not in the room or one downstairs for guests to use. we wasted so much money on food because we had no way of reheating the amazing leftovers. Never would have spent as much money as we did if they had a microwave. our room's view was concrete and the windows of other guest rooms in the hotel.
