I’ll Be Back! The hotel really does offer the best options of how to explore New Orleans. The location at the base of Canal Street and with the river and French Quarter at the front door is excellent. All of our interactions with hotel staff were wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They were attentive to our needs. We arrived early in the morning and got to check in before the afternoon, this gave us the opportunity to immediately hit the ground running! Kay, Robert and Daisy were very accommodating to our requests and they offered suggestions and upgrades to make our stay memorable. I will definitely be back to stay at this hotel.

Exceptional Service — Kaye Made Our Stay Unforgettable! From the moment we arrived at the Westin New Orleans, we felt welcomed — but it was Kaye who truly made our experience stand out. Her warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests went above and beyond anything we expected. Whether it was offering local tips, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, or just brightening our day with her kindness, Kaye turned a great stay into an unforgettable one. The Westin’s beautiful river views and prime location are already fantastic, but the level of hospitality from team members like Kaye is what will keep us coming back. Thank you, Kaye, for making our New Orleans trip so special

3 star hotel with 4 star customer service I was originally going to give this hotel a 3 but decided to give it a 4 based on the wonderful customer service I experienced at the front desk, especially after check out. Pros: Great location, short 10 minute walk to Jackson square and the heart of the french quarter. Granted, the humidity can make the 10 minute walk feel a bit longer, but it really isn't too bad. And if you absolutely cannot walk, everything is a short uber ride away. It's also attached to the mall which we found to be a great plus, especially when walking to and from the hotel. The mall and the hotel share some of the elevators which made it really a breeze to go back and forth. Plus there is self parking, (mind the prices I think it was about $60 for overnight, which is a few dollars more than valet if i'm not mistaken, but I'm not sure if the garage allows in/out privileges so ymmv). The lobby bar on the 11th floor is nice, and they even had some live music. Cons: the main lobby attached to the valet side could use better signage. We had come in on a red-eye so no one was manning the door, but luckily we just took the elevator up and the lobby was marked for check in. The walls are THIN, we tried to sleep in due to a late night flight, but we heard every single door open and shut. Especially during the morning when they started cleaning the rooms, it was very disruptive. Also, while the rooms seem to have been renovated somewhat recently, there are definitely signs of wear and tear. The door lock looked beat up and the light on the nightstand kept flickering. The bar on the 11th floor though was very pretty. I just don't think the quality of the rooms matched the daily rate ($250+/night). Now I'm going to talk about the $30 daily resort fee. I'll be the first to tell you I hate resort fees, however this resort fee does come with some "perks" they do let you use a $30 food and beverage credit per night at the bar/restaurants and offer trolley rides, and other walking tours (didn't use those perks) but the food and beverage credit made it easier to swallow. The reason I bumped them up to a 4/5 stars is because we seemed to have a bit of confusion. As mentioned earlier we took the red-eye in, meaning we checked in close to 2am. By that time everything was closed and we had been told that we basically couldn't use the $30 credit anymore, we paid for 2 nights, and were only left with 1 night credit. However, after we checked out I did ask if it was possible to credit us the $30 resort fee since we never got a chance to use it as everything was closed upon arrival, the front desk ladies informed me that the man who checked us in should have informed us we could've used $60 that day since we checked in so late. I explained that we never heard that until now, and had we known we would have used the $60 credit instead of only using $30. Luckily, they listened and heard my concerns and refunded me the $30 resort fee, which was GREATLY appreciated. This gesture alone made a mediocre stay a pretty decent one.

Great experience! We had a great stay here! It’s walking distance to Jackson square and canal. We avoid the French quarter, but you can walk there easily. The view from the lobby bar is spectacular. I do wish there was more soft seating on the mezzanine level for a quieter spot. The room had paper coffee cups which was a disappointment. A hotel of this caliber ought to have real mugs. But that’s my only complaint. Be sure to use the secret passage way to cut through the mall and save lots of steps walking toward Caesar’s! The bistro was good and had coffee to go ready and waiting. Things to do nearby: We took a bike tour that was very enjoyable. If you’re into yoga, check out Yoga at the Cabildo- cool space and great class! Dickie Brennans steakhouse was amazing, also Palace Cafe was fantastic!

Excellent Location for the French Quarter Westin New Orleans is in an excellent location of the French Quarter, with walking distance to the main attractions and restaurants; though far from the crowds and noise. We were very well received at reception, including an early check-in, and everything we asked for was promptly supplied. We were upgraded to a lovely room with views of the Mississippi River. It was nicely furnished, very clean, and had a great bathroom with a rain shower! The concierge was polite and informative as well. We will surely recommend this hotel, for the location, staff and accommodation!
