Great find We decided to experience the Atlantic side of Florida. New Smyrna beach did not disappoint..a hidden gem. Hampton inn is is a great location. Not on the beach, so nice and quiet. Lots of parking available but a 22 dollar charge for paying guests is not welcome. Rooms only have a small window so can appear a little dark inside. Our room was quite large. We loved sitting on the porch. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is complimentary which is a nice touch. However, the food on offer is limited..a grab and go! As mentioned earlier, great location… restaurants, bars and shops all nearby... Old style Florida is alive and well..! Recommended.

Too much penny pinching This could be a great hotel but instead it is dirty, tried and in need of much TLC. The common area corridor carpets are filthy the room I was allocated, dark and dirty. I didn’t notice any difference in nightly room rate yet housekeeping was only every other day. What reason is there now for this other than greed. Rooms are stripped to a bare minimum an example being not even a glass for a drink of water and coffee consumables never replaced once in a 14 day stay!! Housekeeping is a term I use loosely as consists only of bed making, bin emptying and towel changing. They do not even wipe down surfaces/dust so imagine how dirty after 14 nights. Pilllows are so uncomfortable, I struggled to sleep. The icing on cake was when my husband overhead the breakfast waitress advising a colleague the she had “left her some of the good stuff in the back room” , not the rubbish that is out front”, lovely!! They are also really frugal with breakfast putting out only a couple of each items at a time and replenishing once gone. This means you are constantly needing to ask for items. Reported a light bulb needing changing and still in dark a week later on checking out. Needs someone to manage from a customer perspective and not profit only.

Can't fault this lovely place. We loved this hotel, the location is perfect. Lovely big room, with TV and fridge. Great breakfast. The pool is great, smallish, but most hotel pools are. Parking easy ( costs $22 per day though) Great town and beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. There are roosters roaming free throughout the area, and they can be a bit noisy in the morning, but got used to them quickly!

Nice location for shopping, bars and restaurants Nice location for shopping, restaurants and bars. We didn’t know about the free breakfast. We didn’t sleep well due the loudness in the hallways and in the guest rooms. The room was very expensive for what we got with some hidden fees. No refrigerator but the front desk let us put our dinner leftovers in their fridge.

Parking was extra fee (not cheap!). Our room was dark and somewhat dirty. So surprised this Hampton is so highly rated Dirty room - expensive parking. A fee that is not included in room rate. Don’t know why it is so highly rated. It was a BIG disappointment to us & we won’t be back. Maybe it is the proximity to the beach but while we were there even one of the elevators was out of service.
