Not a Plus for sure The best things I can say about this motel are that the woman (the one who checked us in) at the front desk was very nice and helpful, and that the lighting in the room was better than most places. However: The keycards had to be replaced 2 or 3 times. Water poured off a tray under the freezer onto the floor. There was a blob of hardened toothpaste on the bathroom counter tile. The stairs had not been vacuumed of crumbs and dirt. The bathtub had dark probably ingrained stains in it. There were several bugs in or around the bathtub. The multi station machine in the workout room was broken and almost dangerously so.

STILL NOT IN GOOD REPAIR AT MY LAST YEAR'S STAY THE STAFF SAID EXTERIOR DOORS WOULD BE FIXED, AND KEY FOB CARDS WOULD BE FIXED---STILL NOT FIXED!! THIS IS SO UNSAFE!! EXTERIOR SIDE ENTRY (PARKING LOT) DOORS WERE EITHER UNLOCKED, KEY FOBS DID NOT WORK, OR A ROCK/RUBBER STOPPER HELD THE DOORS OPEN. 4 TIMES HAD TO GO TO FRONT DESK FOR A NEW KEY FOB JUST TO GET IN MY ROOM. AND THE ROOM WAS MUSTY- HAD A DEHUMDIFIER RUNNING, WHICH ON THE 3RD DAY HOUSE KEEPING DID NOT EVEN EMPTY TO KEEP RUNNING. (MANY ITEMS NOT IN GOO REPAIR).

A nice stop! Clean, King bed room - fairly quiet by a back door. Fairly quiet King bed room by the back door. Complimentary shampoo/conditioner are minimal, more plastic than contents. Bed and t.v. couch was comfy along with a table & chairs. Breakfast was good after heating a bit more in the microwave. Eggs, with or without cheese, sausage and potatoes, juice and fruit. Breads, yogurt and waffles. It was a nice stay.

A good, clean hotel - probably one of the best in New Ulm We came to New Ulm after all the schools had gone back so this hotel was busy but not heaving. Pros Hotel conveniently located. Prompt reception service. Room (2 queen beds) was clean, comfortable especially the mattress. Soundproofing excellent - didn’t hear any other guests or noise outside (we were at the back). Hot water and pressure was excellent. Breakfast is free and the usual fare (cereal, breads, scones, bagels, yoghurt, eggs and sausage). Room had a little fridge with a small freezer compartment and a microwave. Cons Hotel decor a little dated 1 elevator was out of order

Eh This is an older hotel located on the edge of town, a long distance from anything walkable. There is a restaurant located at the hotel, and an Applebee's and McDonald's within walking distance. However, if you want to spend your time downtown, you will have to drive. This is a destination location for area locals, knowing of the "cool" indoor pool where the inner rooms ring the pool. Which means, you have a door that enters the pool area and door that opens to the hallway. What that also means, is that ring of rooms in some areas are more noisy than others. The night we were there, a family was enjoying a birthday party with people milling in and out of the room, their rooms probably fairly close to one another. FORTUNATELY, our room was not in that area. We had a room on the outside ring, on a quieter hallway. The room had a humidifier to help fight the humidity that seeped from the indoor pool area. All in all, we wouldn't bother staying there again. Not a great location for visiting New Ulm and enjoying all it has to offer.
