Some rooms in bad shape The A/C was busted, the lights were broken and wonky and would either not turn on or stay off. The bathroom was disgusting - filthy with the top to the toilet tank always ajar, the toilet barely flushing and constantly making weird noises, the tiles were coming out, door locks were all busted, shower knobs, etc were broken. The AC was constantly on the fritz, making the room swampy. Also everything just felt dirty and gross. This would never be tolerated at a Motel 6. The only positive is the staff was very friendly and welcoming - but the rooms need a complete overhaul.

Missing the L from SLH hotels.... Booked 2 nights around 200usd/night. As HH gold got upgraded to a 'Studio King'. Got out of Delancy Essex street sub and a 5min walk will bring you to the hotel. The hotel was fully covered by building construction site, and upon check in we were told the main resto/bar was closed during our stay. It would have been nice to be told this in advance! Anyway, heading to our room via and old elavator and dark hallways (Moulin Rouge style) we entered our room. Room is very bright and hot as it was a sunny day, you get some amazing views but that's were the positivsm ends. Our balcony could not be locked as the lock was forced, our safe was completele loose in the closet. Despite mentioning this 2x to the reception, nobody did anything. The bedsheets looked dated and torn. Bathroom has little privacy but features a big black tub. Breakfast felt like we were on boys scouts, the night before you need to hang out your order at the door and the next day you get your lunchbox with juice, bagel, fruit and jam. In my opinion not worthy of an SLH hotel and especially no luxury feeling. All the downfalls were adressed during check out and we got our city tax reimbursed. Would not recommand this one at all.

Friendly staff, dirty room Friendly staff, both front desk and bar. However, the room was very dirty: We found stains on the bed sheets, the sink was absolutely disgusting, the sink and bathtub were clogged, and the wine glasses were covered in some kind of wax or grease. There was a strong smell, like a public restroom smell, on our floor for at least a day.

Great stay in Lower East Side Amazing and accommodating team. Very spacious rooms. They initially put me in a room on the 3rd floor and the traffic noise was terrible. They accommodated me and moved me to an available room on the 18th floor. Corner room with amazing views and a balcony. I highly recommend room 1801. If noise is an issue for you, I also recommend rooms from the 7th floor up. Very happy with our accommodations. I will be staying here again. As far as room sizes go for NY hotels, these rooms are massive in comparison. I hope this helps!
