***** WARNING… HIDDEN COSTS **** I booked this holiday with Love Holidays as Room Only. I don’t eat breakfast and if I did I wouldn’t want to eat it in the same place for seven mornings. On arrival we were informed we needed to pay a $700 deposit for our room and a non refundable non negotiable resort fee of $50 per day. This included a $25 breakfast credit., So please be warned on top of this you have to pay another $25 per person if there’s two if you. It’s an absolute con plus you have taxes and tips on top. I purposely booked room only and still had to pay this ridiculous charge.

Walk everywhere, from quiet, clean hotel with huge bathrooms! Very comfortable, clean room with closet & huge bathroom! Fast elevators & hotel is quiet, even though you are on Lex Av. Very delicious breakfast in french cafe, plus across the street is Danish bakery. Easy walking distance to Rockefeller, Broadway, Grand Central, etc… I highly recommend.

Avoid- charges fees **Beware of charges** On arrival they mentioned a 100 dollar deposit and a 50 dollar amenities fee. That's fair. After checking out they charged 100 dollar per night breakage fee and a 50 dollar per day amenity fee plus a 250 dollar charge to clean the room! The cleaners came in once on a 4 night stay. The room was left tidy with no breakages too. The hotel itself is nice. But I wouldn't ever stay again. Booked through love holidays. Never again.

New York New York We stayed here to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday, we travelled separately booked 2 rooms, my daughter arrived before the rest of us and on arrival was told before going to the room she had to pay a 500$ security deposit she didn’t have a credit card or that amount of money so had to transfer money from her savings so she could get into the room, this I found unacceptable, we had already paid for the room! When we arrived there wasn’t much of a welcome just more about how much money they wanted as a deposit, they then told us about the $25 daily credit we had for breakfast even though the daily fee was $57, we did have breakfast on the first morning as they have a set breakfast at $25 a head plus tip and tax so this totalled $64, we didn’t bother after the first morning! The hotel is rather dated and probably could do with refurbishment, our room was of a good size but tired and worn patched carpet, the lighting was very poor in bedroom and we had no privacy curtain so had to keep curtains closed a lot of the time, we had asked for a nice room as it was for a special occasion but don’t think our room was! Our coffee wasnt replenished after I used it, however they did have coffee in 2 nd floor pre made in a flask and a very fancy coffee machine that looked like it had never been used or anyone there to serve it, think this was included in the daily perks! We did take advantage of the happy hour serving wine daily this was a nice touch and the lady serving was really friendly On checkout we managed to keep our room till 12.30 as the shower was cold that morning so that made us late, we checked out and paid the bill which we checked thoroughly, it added a lot onto our stay which I’ve calculated to be for 2 rooms £502 GBP so you would need to question this before booking as it is a costly charge compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in. Unfortunately after I got home another charge has been put on my credit card $ 58, I contacted the hotel and was told it was for the last night, so replied saying we checked the bill and it was correct, they replied saying thank you for letting us know and that was it no refund or anything! Sadly we won’t recommend this hotel due to the costly fees although we enjoyed our time in New York

To much expense when we arrived Even though the hotel staff are nice , there is definitely something wrong , you get conned at the desk , where they say 25credits to breakfast, but it’s costs you 85 dollars, for egg and bacon on toast , then you expect to pay for your hotel , before you arrive, but then everyday they put of 50 dollars for using enmities, such as internet or gym , which are included in price . You giving out £1000 dollars before you start your hotel , I’ve informed trip advisor, and will be writing a series letter to their head office, not happy
