Needs a refresh and amenities Disappointing. Stained carpet and dirty furniture, uncomfortable mattress. I got stuck in an elevator and told management, but they were still using it the next day as though it were operating normally (it was not). No coffee or tea, not even water in the rooms. You can pay $4 for crappy coffee in the lobby. And you can’t even request privacy. There’s no sign to put on the door to avoid housekeeping trying to get in. It’s also LOUD. I lived in NYC for 20 years and never experienced this amount of street noise in the middle of the night from garbage trucks, the highway, loud music, and screaming people on the street. It’s almost like the windows are open, that’s how loud it is. The staff was fine. But it’s not worth the money by any means.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever I was checked into a room that had a giant water stain on the curtains and a thick layer of dust. The shower floor was also disgusting. I went back to the front desk and spoke with the person who checked me in. I believe his name was Kyle. I have never experienced someone so rude working in the hospitality business. He said my room was upgraded, and they didn’t have any more of my room type available. This was untrue as Ink 48 was still selling my room type online. I offered that I would call Booking.com, and he could cancelling my reservation. He told me there was no way I was finding a room in the city on a Friday night. A quick Google search would have proved him wrong. Finally, I was given a new room which was still not up to par but worked for the little time I spent at the hotel. There as still quite a bit of dust and a large stain on the headboard. I would not advise anyone to stay at Ink 48 as their staff appear to need more training, and rooms need a deep clean.

Great Hotel-Super convenient to cruise terminal If you are taking a cruise out of NYC stop your search for a place to stay, super close walk to the cruise termina, even with bags, super helpful and accommodating front desk staff and the neighborhood was awesome. We stayed for one night prior to our cruise and will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Very Disappointed with the poor communication from this Hotel about the changes in it’s on site guest facilities We booked this hotel (10 months ago ) because it had a great roof top bar and onsite restaurant when we arrived and we asked about the rooftop bar we were told it had been closed down and so had the restaurant at no point had the hotel contacted us to tell us about this and if they had we would have changed hotel, no apology was given We also asked to have to rooms close together as we were travelling with my sister and husband and the hotel said they would accommodate this, we were given a room on the 3rd and they were given a room on the 7th floor

Never stay here We took our 8 year old daughter to New York for her birthday and to escape tampa from the hurricane. Stayed at the empire and ink 48. The first night at the hotel we paid for a Suite room. I took a shower, none of the jets on the wall worked, the knob just spun in a circle. I get out shower and go to get my daughter bath ready and brush my teeth. I turn on the tub water and GREEN water is coming out filling the tub. I attached photos. The sink water is coming out GREEN!!!!! Also no towels in the room for 3 people staying in suit. But that’s least of my concerns. I go downstairs (wet) because we have no towels(which I called for towels 30mins had passed and no towels brought up). When I get to lobby and ask to speak to a manager. I get treated with “how do you know I’m not the manager?” Is that how we greet people in a supposed 4 star hotel??? When I tell him it’s a complaint he goes to get the manager. Showed him the photos he seemed concerned and said unfortunately we don’t have anymore rooms but the engineer says to keep the water running until it goes away. And I also asked about towels that were supposed to be dropped off now 45 mins later…. My wife and daughter don’t get to shower after walking NYC all day. I bought some water so they can wash essential parts of their body. As we go to go to sleep at 10pm our window is right next to a roof top night club. Blaring and clubbing till 3 am DJ screaming. The room can hear EVERYTHING. My daughter is listening to DJ cursing blaring music till 3 am….why would you place a suit room you pay more money for next to a rooftop night club!?!?!? The room creeks and cracks when AC is running, the blinds are torn. When I woke up my body was COVERED in a rash all over probably from the green water u showered in the night before. I’m currently getting doctor to find out what it is because it hasn’t gone away in 3 days…We told the Manager next morning about night club and our room. Nothing was done or nothing could be done… fast forward to check my account they also charged my $200 more for the room then I booked for……STAY AT ANY OTHER HOTEL THEN THIS ONE!!!!!! WE STAYED AT EMPIRE HOTEL FOR 4 nights with no issues….INK 48 is horrible I plan on writing a review on every single travel site…I emailed the company no one has called me or tried to reach out at all.
