Hidden Gem Location is central without having to be in the obnoxious times square hubbub.Check in was simple (and early) with friendly staff. My bathroom toilet had a minor issue and the maintenance woman quickly arrived and fixed it with a sense of humor. I was on the first floor and had no street noise at all. A/C unit worked well and was quiet. some scaffolding outside building so no curbside appeal - but its NY- where isnt there scaffold? Gyanna was reception member I had the most contact with and she was always helpful and friendly. My room was a single (queen) and felt like a cozy dorm room. Perfect for 1. Bathroom was clean and good water pressure and temps.

I would stay again and again and again! Don't let 1st appearances put you off! If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet place to lay your head, this location is great. Though some rooms lack windows, the friendly and helpful staff more than make up for it. The room I stayed in had 2 full beds and 2 bunk beds. It was extremely roomy for a New York hotel room. It is called the Doxi for a reason. The hallways are very narrow and I had ordered two mobility scooters. Even though there was virtually no place to store them, the staff accommodated me and my mom. I cannot say enough how helpful and courteous the staff were. I will definitely stay there again and again and again!

Awesome location! Lovely staff! After reading a lot of reviews for this hotel, before and after we had booked, we were honestly expecting the worst. Not sure if our low expectations helped, but we were more than pleasantly surprised on arrival and with our overall stay. We stayed for 9 nights in total. The room was basic, but you get what you pay for and this hotel is an absolute bargain compared to others in NYC. The location was amazing! A couple minute walk from Madison Square Garden, a few minute walk from Times Square, couple of minute walk from the nearest subway station etc. I was amazed how quiet the hotel was considering the central location. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. Our room was cleaned every 2 days, with fresh bedding and towels. The shower was great, hot water any time of day and good water pressure. We would definitely stay again if we were ever to travel to NYC in future – which we plan on doing so _

Basic but acceptable for short stay. No complaints Definitely not fancy, but convenient location, clean room and friendly staff. It is basically a place to sleep and a shower which served our purpose for this short, overnight trip. They gave us breakfast vouchers for nearby deli upon departure.

dirty. small. thin walls. rude staff disgusting. gross. dirty. i checked in to my room and was completely ripped off. the windows are blocked. no view. the decorations are old and outdated and not like pictured. and last but certainly not least a pubic hair was found on my toilet. i had a reservation and on my way out the door the front desk was unattended so i decided to call and see if we could resolve the issue. i was told that i should’ve said something before i left and in order for the problem to be resolved i would have to leave my reservation immediately. then, i was hung up on. very professional right? eventually the issue was resolved and we were upgraded to a “nicer” room. which still had hair in the shower and strange stains under the bedding. i slept very uncomfortably not only because i knew it was dirty but because the walls are so think i was constantly being woken up by noises coming from outside of the room. DO NOT BOOK
