Arthouse Hotel New York City

Highly recommended Clean comfortable great location. 2 blocks from 1 train and 4 blocks from 1,2,3 train. Close to Central Park and around the corner from Levian bakery which has THE best cookies. Great coffee at the lobby coffee shop. 2 blocks to grocery store where we bought yogurt for breakfast.

Avoid if possible We were planning to stay for 10 days... We checked out after one night. We booked a 4 starts hotel, so we were expecting a 4 stars hotel... This felt like a 2. Very small room, very small gym, and calling a croissant with coffee a breakfast is just ridiculous. Moves to a different 4 star hotel, and for the same price, got a way better experience.

Wonderul Hotel ! It was a great little hotel off Broadway on 77th St. Staff was amazing - very friendly and helpful. Great lobby area with a sitting room that was like a library and seating around the bar area. Will definitely go back. Note: Currently there is scaffolding on the building so check w/ the desk to see if your window is blocked. :)

Great location. Great Ambiance! Great Hotel n the Upper West Side. Rates are acceptable. Work out facility. Lobby Bar that doubles as a breakfast area in the morning. Nice ambiance! Lots of good dining options within close walking distance and Central Park is only blocks away! Opt for the Junior Suite if more than two people in the room - otherwise pretty crowded!

Fabulous stay on the UWS! We found our new hotel in Manhattan! Arthouse is such a gem. I read through so many reviews prior to booking and almost stayed at another hotel across Broadway, but so glad we chose Arthouse! The hotel lobby has a great vibe, tastefully decorated with art, multiple beautiful seating areas, and a hip playlist in the background. It has an international feel while still being very New York. There are many spaces in the lobby to people watch, work, eat, drink, chill, etc. There was a live trio on Thursday night and lots of people enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine which created a nice community feel. The location is perfect if you want to be close to Central Park, Natural History Museum, the subway, the Hudson River and great food. My 11-year-old daughter and I were in NYC for the Knicks v Celtics game and took the 1 Downtown to Madison Square Garden in under 15 minutes. Arthouse is two short blocks to the subway where you can go all the way down the westside on the 1. Easy access to midtown, Times Square, and TriBeCa. We booked direct for 4 nights in a Broadway View King and asked for a corner room. We were in 1230 and it had gorgeous views of the Hudson and UWS. It was very spacious and plenty of counterspace in the bathroom to keep all our things out. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Shower pressure was good and water temp perfect. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning our room daily. It was a great value for just over $300/night + fees. I had read other reviews about paper cups in the room, lack of streaming on the TV, slow elevators, and having to use your CC to buy coffee/pastries in the lobby. None of these things affected/bothered us and these were also not the reasons we were in NYC. I can stream Netflix at home! This is a classic boutique NYC hotel with wonderful employees who are caring, informative, and personable. I would take that any day over some more chain hotel amenities. Lastly, consider taking the hotel private service car to JFK. It was a luxury ride and about 25% less than an Uber. We will be recommending Arthouse to any friends and family that are going to NYC and we can't wait to stay there again!
