Great base location We were originally scheduled to arrive in town around 3 pm, but a flight schedule change moved us to a midnight departure and 5:30 am arrival. We were able to check in at 7:30 am even though the advertised time was 4 pm. So very grateful for that! The first room we were given smelled like someone had smoked in it, so we asked to change rooms. The next room was clean and comfortable. The high floor view was just okay, but it was fairly quiet. Bathroom had plenty of counter space but no towel bar except for at one end of the bathtub, and one hook on the wall at the other end by the toilet. Tub was big and deep. It worked fine for us but I could see getting in and out being an issue for some seniors or folks with short legs. (I fit both those descriptions ;-) Others have noted the hotel has rooms with walk in showers so that would be an option to ask about. My daughter and I both felt the beds were comfortable and we slept well. We didn’t go to the bar or restaurant so can’t speak to that. The R Market is pricy and doesn’t accept cash. Daughter got coffee and recommended getting it elsewhere next time. The central location was wonderful. We walked to several restaurants, shops, attractions, and to a Broadway show. For excursions farther away, there are a number of subway stations close by. Overall, I was happy with our stay and would come back again.

Amazing stay! We can’t thank the entire staff for their amazing hospitality! My wife and I had the best experience and even got the chance to meet the manager Troy who was extremely helpful and very nice. We will definitely be returning again next year with our 4 daughters.

Location only, the rest was a flop. Rude too!! The only thing this hotel has going for them is their location. The front desk people are very rude, Destiny, the front desk manager is leading the charge. Destiny herself is quite possibly the rudest employee that the hotel has. I left my contact information for Gina the hotel manager to contact me and Destiny said she would give it to her. And I’ve never once heard from Gina. The rooms are dark and old and the plumbing is falling apart. The shower faucet in our room was almost falling off the wall. The drains were completely clogged in both the sink and shower, and hardly any of the Outlets in our room worked to be able to charge our phones for the next day. The only person who actually was nice at the hotel and seemed to care about the customers was Matthew from the concierge‘s desk. I would advise against staying here, as there are much better places even on that street to stay.

Hotel with ONLY location to speak for. Review is based on an Asian citizen. Renaissance Times SQ has good reviews when preparing trip- Alas… We arrived in the nite, by car. Hotel sign not lit up .. chaotic roadside. Missed the hotel and car drove 3 times around the block. Check in at very small “ lobby “- dark. Thaddeus, front desk - nice chap. Cool and reassuring but still Family was split up on 17/19/21 floor- yes not expecting connecting rooms but this??? _ Hotel is old… elevator has high ceiling. Deco outdated - still within my expectations ( which is low ) Hotel under some sort of renovation. ( bathroom really needs one) My bed has a dip in the middle. Bad for yr back. .. rm 1714 Now the best part. Facilities fee of $50 USD was charged for lack of facilities as hotel has only a small eatery/ shop.. maybe gym? Anyway, they try to be nice and gave us a $35 F& B vouchers.. haha. Everything in the shop is overpriced 3x so tt the 35 can be used up. A bag of chips/ cookies cost 17.50, sold at @$5+ in Target. coffee @6 and all others gourmet @ 9. There’s no cooked food onsite. Will I come back? Maybe not. But for many, location of this hotel is still good. A plus point _

Lovely Hotel and Staff Absolutely loved this hotel. First, the location couldn't have been more perfect. Close to all the theatres and attractions which was our main purpose for going to NY. For those that think it will be too noisy since it's in Times Square, our room faced TS and we never heard a thing at night. Very quiet and extremely comfortable. The room size was very good and larger than most I've been in. The staff was the best part of this hotel. So friendly and welcoming. I have to give a special shout out to Tammy Y and Valentina at the reception area. Both of these amazing ladies made our trip. They were wonderful with making suggestions on where to eat, exactly where to catch the subway for where we needed to go, etc. I've never seen a more helpful or delightful staff. The cleaning staff was wonderful too. No matter what our request was, they were there instantly and so pleasant. This will be the only hotel I stay at for all our NY trips. Thank you to everyone at the Renaissance NY Times Square for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable.
