Great location. Line to check in was extremely long and slow. Room was in poor condition. Mattress was awful. This hotel is in a great location to access many of Manhattan’s biggest attractions. However it is long overdue for renovations. The paint in the room was peeling, the sink cracked, the shower/tub cracked and dirty, the bathroom door delaminated, the A/C system antiquated, the amenities few, the mattress hard with springs pushing through. The wait to check in was ridiculous. While the price of $160 for NYC is considered “low”, I’ve stayed outside of NYC at $60 motels that were nicer.

Adam Garcia saved our trip to NYC First time to NYC - made reservation through travel agency back in February. When arrived to the Manhattan they said our reservation had been cancelled and they had no more rooms. Adam Garcia, an employee of the Manhattan for 19 years, overheard the conversation, and went to his manager, Naval, to see what could be done. Adam said don’t look for a room elsewhere, give me a few minutes. After 20 min or so, Adam said they found us a room. He is polite and cares about the customers of the Manhattan. Adam Garcia is a gem!!!

Comfortable place to stay in New York The room was super clean with a magnificent view to the heart of New York city. Additionally, the location was amazing with only few walks away to get to the Times Square. Moreover, the staff named Racquel was very nice and helpful. Would recommend anyone who want to visit New York to stay at this hotel.

Great Stay - would stay again! This hotel is very basic. The lifts take forever! It’s currently being renovated but we weren’t interrupted by the works at all. Mum, 15 and 17 year old daughters. We were given a renovated room. Floor 20. Towels and bedding brand spanking new. Flannels, soaps, shampoo and conditioner all provided. Large tv. USB sockets. Safe. Hangers. Steamer. Hairdryer. Beds super comfy. Shower powerful and lovely. Location was awesome. Right one corner of Ellen’s Diner. Up from Times Square. Round from Broadway and just along from Rockefeller. Staff were all fantastic. Downsides for me: the whole of floor 20 was unbelievably hot. Our room was unbearable. My daughter is asthmatic and really struggled to breathe our first night. It took three reports to reception before an engineer came and switched it off. Didn’t expect to queue up in reception with a voucher for a bag of breakfast. Not sure if this was because of the renovation but one piece of fruit, one pastry and one drink each is what it consisted of. Nowhere to hang wet towels! It asks in the bathroom to keep your towels due to excessive water usage but there’s nowhere to hang them to dry. Our windows were filthy. I know we’re 20 floors up but surely manhattan is equipped for this _ I would stay here again without question.

Good Hotel in a great location Overall we had a very pleasant experience. The room cleaning service was very good. Shout-out to Ashley from the staff for being friendly! The location was also very good. It is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan and there are subway stations nearby.
