best stay during our New York trip The service and the hotel itself are outstanding. Our luggage was taken from us at the reception. The check-in process was simple and quick. Late check-out was also possible without any problems. The room was tastefully furnished. We were surprised by a gift for our child, which was waiting in the room. Another personal greeting also delighted us. The mattresses and pillows are very good. The other amenities of the room are also at a 5-star level. I particularly liked the lighting control with the switches and tablets. What I liked less was the somewhat stressed atmosphere in the breakfast room. We had a waiter (he said he was from China) who always spoke very loudly with the guests and seemed very hectic. Even when he was talking to guests four tables away, I could hear everything. I found this uninviting. At least I was glad when I could leave the breakfast room (into somewhat more silent). Perhaps some better training could be provided here. Otherwise, the staff were without exception very courteous and helpful.

Quietest Hotel Room in NYC The Peninsula is a luxury oasis in the middle of Manhattan. The rooms are comfortable and spacious but best of all quiet. I did not hear a single sound from the street which is unheard of in the middle of the city. The staff are polite and helpful as ever and made sure we had everything we needed and more throughout our stay. I could not recommend this property enough.

Wonderful Stay Ends on Bitter Note My wife and I booked an overnight stay at the hotel through AmEx Platinum for a wedding in NYC. Overall, the (refurbished) room, concierge team, valet staff, room service, and breakfast at the Clement were all exceptional or better. We left our vehicle with the valet and checked in at their makeshift check-in desk around 2 p.m. on the day of arrival when I reconfirmed the overnight $105 charge for parking. That was consistent with the conversation I had with one of the concierge staff earlier in the week. At around 2:30 p.m. prior to our checking out around 3:45 p.m. the next day, I reviewed our bill with one of the members of the front desk staff who indicated there was no outstanding balance due at that time (given it was a pre-paid reservation) with only the $105 parking charge for the one-night stay and anything we charge at the bar, restaurant or room service prior to our checking out. However, when I went to check out, the person at the front desk said there was just "a parking charge and overage from breakfast" and offered to print out or send me an email of the bill to which I responded I would like an email (never received). As I was walking away to collect our luggage, I thought better of it and asked for a printed copy. Upon inspection, I saw that we had been charged for two days/nights parking for the roughly 25 1/2 hours it was garaged. If that is the policy, I would expect that to have been communicated to me at check-in or explained when I reviewed the preliminary bill prior to check-out. After I asked the bill to be adjusted, the staffer indicated it could not be done because, "It was a third party." I asked if she could raise the issue with the manager and she went into the office, returning moments later to tell me softly, "Sorry, it is a third party." Really, that's it? I would have thought the manager, Anisha, could have shown the least bit of concern and courtesy (in addition to backbone) by popping out of the office, only a handful of steps away from the front desk, and deign to speak to a guest. Perhaps I am being a bit unfair, but nonetheless I found the passive/aggressive reaction to be pretty weasel-y in a having a junior staffer meekly reiterate the initial message. I hoped for better under the circumstances and think a hotel of this caliber should aspire to be better.

Never disappointed Always the best feeling to come back to one of the best places in the world. The hotel has been undergoing renovation and I was fortunate enough to stay in a renovated room on the 16th floor overlooking Fifth Avenue A larger room I think the grand deluxe and on a corner has got to be one of my favorites. I love the new beds , new televisions and amenities with great electronics added to the room . There is a beautiful mini bar which is a drawer that pulls out , a tea set and office items I love the linens and pillows and most of all the service One very special addition is the hotel manager who is out from the west coast to stay I hope for a while. A true professional who cares about the guests and the hotel meeting everyone needs and standards. His name is Young Yoon and no one could do the job if a hotel manager better. Thank you Yiung for making my stay so delightful and special

Its a penninsula THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH. I cannot recommend the pennisula New York anymore that i am. They are currently under renovations, we stayed pre renovtion and the rooms wher nice but getting a but tired. cant waint to return after the renovation is completed. Spa and pool is quite good, as they provide Biologique Recherche products in the spa. Service is as personized as can get. This is they most well rounded place in NYC right now. We stayed in june 2023.
