Peaceful hotel in a great location Great location. It's near several subway stations and ferry stop. Rooms are spacious, and clean, but dark (rather common thing in Manhattan). Infrastructure could use a refreshment though. Staff at the reception wasn't super welcoming when we arrived, but people sitting there on subsequent days were nice. Breakfast is modest. The fact that coffee and tea is available the whole day, as well as sweet snacks, is a nice touch.

Great hotel! The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The subway is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and they will hold your bags until you check in. They have waffles, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and coffee for breakfast. Water is always available. Loved the look of the hotel, and I would absolutely stay here again!

Highly recommend Very cozy, clean hotel. Love the decor and the area. Amazing neighbourhood. There are restaurants behind the hotel / pubs. Outside seatings and great atmosphere. The ambiance of the hotel felt like a vintage style. The room was a great size with a closet and big bathroom. Staff very very nice.

Delightful experience This Inn is in a fantastic area in the Financial District. It's conveniently within walking distance of multiple subway lines and the Staten Island Ferry. I felt safe walking alone late at night from the subway as a female in this part of the city. The staff was friendly. Our room was large for NYC, and I loved the historic vibe. The one draw back was our window was next to an alley courtyard with open air seating for nearby bars/ pubs. Due to the older exterior windows, the noise was loud at night when we tried to sleep. We used our earplugs and it helped. The black out curtains dampened the sound as well. We're from a rural community though, and used to sleeping with pure quiet at night, which doesn't exist in large cities. It was still so much better than staying in another part of the city with lots of traffic and sirens at night. I've done that in newer hotels in other parts of the city and this was a lot better. We didn't hear noise inside the hotel or from any other guests through interior walls. The front desk was staffed 24 hours a day with at least one person at front desk. They were pleasant, greeted us when we came and went, and helpful answering questions and navigating. I enjoyed the smaller touches you don't get in a large chain hotel like an umbrella to use during our stay, and a bowl of candy at the front desk. Booking directly through their website saved us money and they gave us a complimentary room upgrade. I would stay again and highly recommend it for business travelers, solo female travelers, couples, international travelers, and small families with preteens/ teens.
