If a prison and ashtray had a baby, it would be the Robert Treat Hotel President Kennedy stayed at this hotel in 1962. I imagine it was the worst thing that happened to him during his presidency. Cigarette odor everywhere ✅ Dirty rooms ✅ Sheets like sandpaper ✅ Blood stained carpet ✅ Bugs ✅ Vile bathrooms ✅ If your flight is canceled and your airline puts you up here for free, decline and sleep on the floor at EWR. Seriously.

Bed bugs. Bed Bugs!!!! Do not stay here. We chose this hotel after our flight was cancelled and we were flown to New Jersey to connect with a flight the following day. The front desk staff was rude and didn’t even show us where the elevators were. We stayed one night. During the night my daughter said something bit her. In the morning, after she came to my bed we checked her bedding. We found two bed bugs!! When we informed the front desk the man did apologize but then we were dismissed. I’m sure this isn’t the first they have had this happen here considering their lack of concern.

Convenient location Second time staying at this hotel. We chose it due to the proximity to the Newark airport and walking distance to the Newark Penn Station. They do offer a shuttle bus, but some drivers don't care about their job and customer service (he arrived very late to pick us up, despite two phone calls to the Reception, and he ignored opening the door upon pick up and drop off). Walking around New York and New Jersey, you'll feel the heavy smell of "weed" and the same thing inside the hotel rooms. Because of this and the lack of included breakfast as we had it last time, we are thinking of avoiding this place next time. For breakfast you have to walk to a nearby hotel. The rooms were clean, and the bed was not too soft or too firm.

Decent stay Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant was very nice. The bathroom was small but functional. The room had no drinking glasses, but when we called the desk we were told we had to go down to the lobby to get some! It was nice that they have an airport shuttle.

worst experience In a word: awful. Read all the negative reviews here. I experienced them all. Staff was unnecessarily rude, restaurant closed, bad room smell. My flight was cancelled and I was given choices. I should have researched on google. Stay away.
