Basic and met low bar expectations The bedding was clean. The shower was hot and had the necessities This feels like what I can say constitutes the minimum of a stay if you are road tripping and out of options. This is an aging hotel with all the furniture chipped, stained carpets, strong mildew smell in bathroom and in my room a dodgy air conditioning unit that kept my room a tad too warm I arrived very late and left early morning so I didn’t do anything other than sleep and shower. I would not have wanted to relax or work in that room But it was safe feeling inside and so it met basic needs

Gross carpets! We stayed in this hotel last night for the UFC 302 event. We were in room 315. The carpets were disgusting. Multiple stains throughout our room that looked like vomit stains. If the hotel wasn’t sold out due to the event, I would have requested a different room. Unfortunately, it seems like this hotel is falling short on maintenance.

Last-Minute Stay I had to stay here last minute due to a last-minute flight cancellation at Newark. I chose it because it is across the street from Penn Station. There's a direct train to NYC Penn Station so we went sightseeing on a Sunday. Check in was easy and you get free warm cookies and water. It was a nice touch after a bad day. You can also ask front desk for cookies. My room was clean and spacious. I was on the 10th floor and I could still hear traffic so didn't get restful sleep. I appreciate the security measures and the staff's frankness. Only one elevator out of three were working by the time I checked out.

Nice hotel, but needs to sort out daily housekeeping The hotel is conveniently located for Newark Airport (via the free shuttle) and NYC (via the $2.75 PATH train). We were checked in very quickly, and given a free cookie each. Although I asked for a quiet room on the highest floor possible (10th), I was told that due to Maintenance, I had a room on the 5th. This was right next to the elevator, but the internal ambient noise was minimal. The beds were comfortable, shower was powerful and everywhere was clean. It transpires that rooms aren’t serviced daily at this hotel ‘due to Covid’, and we had a rather rude gentleman bring us replacement (dirty) towels on the 3rd night. He became ruder when we asked for fresh towels, and for our bins to be emptied. The Duty Manager is meant to be investigating the reason why our room wasn’t serviced on the 3rd day, despite the receptionist saying that she would get it done for us.
