Ok Bed was soft, quiet, but wasn't a big fan of breakfast. Hotel workers were helpful. Was early on checkout, and they kept knocking on our door. Pool was nice. Construction was horrible getting to hotel. But overall I wouldn't stay again for the price

Beautiful Inn Very beautiful property with areas to relax outdoors. Staff was great, very attentive. Restaurant was delicious, first time having Walleye Pike, a local fish. Would stay here again and reccomend to anyone staying in this area. Wish we had a few more days to explore this lovely part of Ohio.

So disappointed. Cons: DO NOT BUY THE BREAKFAST BUFFET, at $20 extra per person, we thought we would be getting something far superior to complimentary hotel breakfasts, but it was worse. 5 chaffing dishes full of ice cold eggs, meats, greasy casserole, and oddly colored very beige pancakes (not buckwheat). Oatmeal was ice cold. "Fresh" fruit was all dull in color and soupy, and was clearly frozen at some point. Bread options were 2 literally 2 crossiants, 2 blueberry bagels, or one slice of white bread. We said in advance we would like a gluten free option if available, they had cheerios. Also while our hotel room was okayish for ONE night it smelled like cigarettes and swimming pool chemicals. The couch had beer bottle caps and trash behind it and the bathroom sink had a visible ring of mold. While the AC worked well and was remarkably quiet, the room felt "moist" even the bedding felt damp, though it was a very hot day. The bathroom was huge and the shower pressure nice, with plenty of hot water, but the hairdryer barely worked - just bring your own. The room was decorated in a darker masculine theme which was both quirky and relaxing but the carpeting throughout the entire facility needs replaced, it is all worn and stained. Our patio was cute in concept, two little chairs and a table made of nice heavy iron but they hadn't been cleaned it what seemed like years...dead bugs and cobwebs all around the patio door were really uninviting and since everything just seemed so old and dirty we passed on sitting outside or even keeping our curtains open. A good hardcore hose down of those patios would do wonders. For the price of our stay, over $200, for one night with my fiance, we were placed in a busy section of the hotel, full of families with children likely there for the water park and pool attached to the hotel. They were loud, at all hours. I get that kiddos are excited and loud by nature, but thoughtful rooming would have been a nice consideration. Lastly, the parking lots are in shambles, the trash dumpsters overflowing, and it's just not the romantic experience we were hoping for, in order to celebrate my fiances birthday. Had this been the cost of a motel, I likely would not be complaining, but there are much much better ways and places to spend your money in Newark, OH...sadly Cherry Valley Hotel isn't one of them.

Beautiful Courtyard Elegant at the entrance. The layout of the hotel is a little odd - it is very spread-out. The room we had was nice, but had a plumbing leak and no sink stopper. The mattress was awful - lumpy, saggy. We asked maintenance to flip the mattress. It was a little better, but needs replaced. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but expected more for the price.
